ATLANTA ATHLETIC CLUB RULES & REGULATIONS – AMENDED SEPTEMBER 2023

Grandparents may obtain passes from the Aquatic Director or Athletic Director and are $100 per child.

27. Children between the ages of 10-12 are eligible to be unaccompanied at the Aquatic Center after passing a swim test.

28. Nannies and babysitters accompanying a member’s child will not be charged a guest fee. If an adult member is present, then the nanny/babysitter will be treated as a guest of the member and a guest fee will be assessed. 29. Food is permitted in designated areas only. Alcohol will not be consumed by those under legal drinking age. Smoking is not allowed within the pool area. The complete pool complex, including the pavilion is designated as a non-smoking area. 30. Glass and other potentially hazardous containers are not permitted, in the Aquatic Center. Members are not permitted to bring food or beverages onto Club property without approval of the Club’s management.

31. Swimming parties may be arranged through the Banquet Department in advance of the occasion.

32. No one is permitted in the pool area unless a lifeguard is on duty or they are with an AAC swim coach or instructor for instructional purposes.

33. Swimming is authorized in the pool only. Swimming is not allowed in the lakes or river adjacent to Club property.

34. In the event of lightning or thunder, the pool shall be immediately cleared and not reopened until authorized by the Aquatic staff.

a. Aquatic staff will clear the pool at the first sound of thunder and/or sounding of the siren for 30 minutes. Each occurrence, thereafter, will restart the 30 minutes.

b. Upon the sight of lightning, the pool deck will be cleared immediately of all staff and members. Members and staff may not return to the pool deck until the siren signals “All Clear.” If thunder is heard prior to or following the “All Clear” signal, the Aquatic staff will observe the 30-minute time period for each time that thunder is heard.

35. Non-swimmers and novice swimmers are not permitted in deep water or on the diving boards.

36. The Splash Pad area is for children under the age of 8 years old. Parents are responsible for their children in the Splash Pad area.

37. The following rules apply to children using the main pool and the swim diaper policy: a. All children under the age of 3 are restricted from using the main pool, unless in a swim lesson with an AAC instructor. Any child requiring the use of a swim diaper, regardless of age, is not allowed in the main pool. Members must have all diapers checked by the front desk prior to entering the pool facility. Members not in compliance will lose pool privileges for a minimum of two weeks.
