Summary: The Youth Counselor is responsible for managing and facilitating youth programs and family friendly events, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Primary Responsibilities: • Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club. • Leads and coordinates learning based activities with children i.e. arts, crafts, games, storytelling etc. • Implements safety procedures as instructed by supervisor. • Complete accident/incident reports related to child injuries and behavior. • Assists with proper set up and break down of children’s activities and events. • Maintains clean environment for children and members. • Builds a positive dynamic between staff, children, and parents. • Interacts with all members, guests, peers, and supervisors in a professional manner. • Presents a kids first mentality making safety their top priority. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Exhibit out going, professional personality. • Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. • Strong organization, communication, and problem solving skills. • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with members, employees and vendors. • Exceptional customer service skills.
