ATLANTA ATHLETIC CLUB WOMEN’S 18 HOLE GOLF ASSOCIATION POLICY AND PROCEDURE MANUAL AWARDS CHAIRMAN

The Awards Chairman shall be responsible for creating Ringer Book Sheets for each member, checking and tabulating Play Day ringer scores and completeing special awards recognition. She shall also maintain an inventory of all trophies, inform the Tresurer and President when “take home” trophies need to be reordered, and help with the reorder, maintain a record of their specific locations, and assure that all prizes and trophies are available for designated events and tournaments. I. GENERAL DUTIES A. Update and maintain Ringer Books. • Update Ringer Sheets before the season begins. • Be Sure a Ringer Sheet is made for any new Members who join throughout the year. B. Assure trophies are available for designated events and tournaments. C. Take Home Trophies with Engraved Medallions include: • Handicap Tournamnet Winner and Runner Up • Championship Tournamnet Winner and Runner Up • Golfer Of The Year D. Be responsible for permanent trophy engraving after the end of the year Closing Brunch. E. Assure that club personnel are cleaning and maintaining trophies. F. Calculate winners for 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd Low Gross and Low Net Ringers for both courses and give information to the Second Vice President as soon as the last play day/ tournament is completed and results can be tabulated. G. Calculate winners for 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd Most Birdies from the Ringer Books and give information to the Second Vice President as soon as the last play day/tournament is completed and results can be tabulated. H. Prepare a report in triplicate prior to the Closing Brunch and give to the President, Secretary and put in Awards notebook. II. TIME TABLE A. Attend all AACWGA Board Meetings as requested. B. January – Inform the Presdient and Treasurer if “ take home trophies” for Handicap tournament, Golfer of the Year and Championship are needed and assit with the reorder. C. February , update Special Awards and Ringers Sheets. Copies may be made in the AAC Office. Obtain the names of the members from the First Vice President and prepare a sheet for each member of the group prior to the beginning of the season. Include extras in the front cover for additions. D. In March, c oordinate with the Tournament Chairman to ensure trophies will be displayed for specific tournament events. E. Monthly, determine which members had Holes-in-One while playing at the AAC during any complete round of golf during the AACWGA calendar year.
