FROM THE TIMBERS TEAM We are here to make your lives easier. We want you to know that your children will be well cared for while you enjoy your time here at AAC or even go off site for a date night. We are building a new team so you will see lots of new faces around the Timbers area. Please know that all of these people are here to serve you and your children to the best of their ability. Please help us make your child’s experience here as carefree as possible. Please send a change of clothes with your child if they are under the age of 5. Please send a water bottle labeled with your During Drop-In care your child will have time to freely explore games, crafts, and more. When it is appropriate and staff coverage allows for it our counselors will lead the kids in some games and activities. During “reservation required’ events and camps you can expect a schedule of themed counselor led activities such as games, sports, crafts, and more. Parents are required to set up a KidCheck account and update it as needed. WHAT TO BRING Please make sure you have a completed and updated registration packet on file with us. For children 5 and under we ask that you send a complete change of clothes each time you drop them off. We ask that every time your child comes please send a water bottle labeled with their name on it. During the summer please send sunscreen. child’s name for all ages! WHAT TO EXPECT
FOOD AND BEVERAGES We will provide your child a snack during their time with us. For Drop-In care this will be goldfish or animal crackers. During events and camps the snacks will vary based on theme and events. During “registration required” events and camps we will notify you at the time of registration if lunch or dinner will be provided. At any other time, you are welcome to notify our staff if you would like us to order a meal for your child from the Troon. We are a strictly nut and gum free area. If you do send a snack for your child, please be sure to abide by this rule. We can’t allow them to eat any nut products. INFANT CARE For infants under the age of 1, we ask for a courtesy call or email to ensure we have proper staff coverage. Diapers and wipes are included in Timbers Drop-In Care, however, if you have a brand preference or a child with sensitive skin, we ask that you provide the needed diapers and wipes. Please provide a complete change of clothes, at least one extra bottle, and/or baby food in addition to any regular portions they will need while in our care. Additional items such as cream, pacifiers, and comfort items are welcome. Counselors are required to adhere to AAP Safe Sleep Guidelines for SIDS prevention. ILLNESS POLICY Our full Illness Policy is in the Policies form you signed with your registration packet. Basically, if they are too sick for school they are also unable to attend Timbers Drop-In Care, events, or camps. Please be mindful and help us keep everyone healthy.

Please remember that under Georgia State Law, we are only permitted to have children in the Timbers for no more than 4 hours a day/ 10 hours a week. In case of an audit by the state, we could lose our permit to operate if we are not following these rules. This does not apply to “Events”, such as Friday Flicks or Sunday Funday which is why we are trying to offer more events in lieu of drop in care, so you are able to utilize the timbers even more! While we understand certain circumstances will arise from time to time, and we are willing to give some grace, there will be a $20 fee per occurrence if these hours are regularly being exceeded.

CAMPS Each of our camp will have separate registrations for ages 2-5 and 6-12. Children ages 0-2 can still utilize Drop-In care. Drop-In Care is still available during camp times. Before and After care is available during regular Drop-In Hours and regular rates. Lunch is included for pre-registered campers. Any registration that happens within two days before the event will be charged for lunch. Do you want to take the stress out of your kid’s birthday party? Let the Youth Activities Staff do all the work! Party planning services start at $250 for two hours of Timbers space time, planned activities, décor, setup and clean up. Other services can be provided. WEEKLY EVENTS We need at least 6 kids signed up to have these events. We may cancel 24 hours in advance if there are not enough kids registered. There is a 20% sibling discount for multiple children signed up for the same event. This does not include guests. There are Early Bird Prices that end two days before the event happens. Prices listed below are Early Bird Prices. Thursdays SPORTS AND STORIES Separate event registration required for each age group. Story Night| 6-9pm | $20 Ages 5 and under
Sundays FUNDAY 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. | $30 full day |$15 half day Ages 5 and under | Ages 6-12 Separate event registration for each time slot. We have a different theme for each Sunday of the month. Some of these are subject to change for special events. Please check registration online to confirm the theme for each Sunday. There will occasionally be special themes that will replace those listed below. First Sunday - GAME DAY focus is on board games, card games, yard games, group games and more! Second Sunday - LEGO MANIA have a blast building with tons of LEGO bricks and completing LEGO challenges! (Duplo for the littles!) Third Sunday - NERF WARS the battle is on and nerf bullets are flying on this day full of fun and nerf guns! Fourth Sunday themes vary each month. December-Boxing Day, January-Frosty Fest, February- Seusstastic Sunday There is a fifth Sunday in January and this will be a VIDEO GAME Tournament for our 6-12 year olds and a Fun Day of play for our 0-5 kiddos! *No Sunday Funday on December 5th.
For our youngest members we will have a night of fun engaging storytelling, games and activities that coordinate with a featured reading. Thursday Night Hoops| 6-9pm | $20 Ages 6-12 Basketball builds strong skills needed for playing basketball as well as helping develop sportsmanship and teamwork. Taught by “Taurus Pyles (Youth Activities Supervisor)”, the players learn basic skills using various drills, contests, and games. Girls and boys develop skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, and rebounding. The programs emphasis is on Having Fun, while also fostering life lessons and basic understanding of fitness. Participants will practice skills within age appropriate groups for a portion of the night. The remainder of the night will be spent engaged in other activities and eating dinner. Little Dribblers for ages 6-9 Pee-Wee for ages 10-12 At the end of February each child that participates in at least 11 of the 16 Thursday Night Hoops Events will receive a special recognition award!

Saturdays KIDS NIGHT OUT Separate event registration required for each age group. Ages 5 and under| 6-10pm | $25 These Saturday Kids Night Out events will keep your little ones engaged, entertained and even learning. Shhhh… don’t tell them that part. We will have gross and fine motor activities, STEAM activities, and much more! Ages 6-12| 6-10pm | $25 Events vary each week- Look for these titles on the website for registration. Boys vs Girls - Come out for a night of competition! You won’t know the challenges until you get here but you know your will be representing girl power or boy power! Grab your buddies, your BFFs and come have a blast with us! Young Builders - Do you like to build? Want to create something fun! Sign up for young builders night! Sometimes you will get to take your creation home and other times it will be made from materials that we will reuse and keep here at Timbers! Arts and Crafts Night - We might paint, draw, craft, upcycle… who knows what else!? There could be papier-mâché pirate ships, friendship bracelets, drip painting, spray paint, how to draw a race car. You’ll just have to sign up to see what fun thing we will make each week! Game Night - Want to sit around with your friends and laugh until your sides hurt? Want to learn awesome fun new games? Maybe play old games that you don’t play often at home? Come check out game night!! There will be all sorts of games! * No Saturday Events or Drop In on Christmas Day. * There will be no Saturday Events or Drop In Care on January 1st. We will be closed for New Year’s Day!
Fridays FRIDAY FLICKS 6-9pm | $20 Ages 5 and under | Ages 6-12 Separate event registration required for each age group. Ages 5 and under | Ages 6-12 Each age group with have activities centered around the movie choice for the evening. The big kids will do their activities in the Timbers Loft or outside as needed and the young ones will do theirs in the downstairs Timbers area or outside as needed. Then we will bring all the children together for eating dinner and watching the movie. Movie selections will be sent out monthly in the Timbers Talk Email and will be posted in each week’s registration information. December 3- Elf Party: Come watch Elf, have some candy, and Christmas Cookies to kick off the Christmas Season! There will be tons of games and fun! December 10- Grinch Party: We won’t let the Grinch steal our Christmas Spirit! Come have a grinchy good time with some Christmas games and crafts! December 17- Polar Express Party: Wear your Christmas PJ’s and come watch Polar Express, make a special gift for your grownup and have some hot coco! (There is NO train ride this year.) *There will be NO Friday Flicks on December 24th Merry Christmas! *There will be NO Friday Flicks on December 31st. Join us for Family Fireworks.

LEAGUES Our Junior Golf Leagues provide a great recreational opportunity to experience the game of golf in a fun, team-oriented setting. INSTRUCTION AAC Junior Golf instruction programs focus on building sound fundamentals that allow junior golfers to continue to improve.
COMPETITION The focus of these competitions is to give our juniors an opportunity to gain the competitive experience necessary to improve as junior golfers.
Private Instruction In addition to the number of group instruction and league opportunities, private instruction is available through the RTJ Jones, Jr. Instructor center. From ages 3 and up, the AAC Golf Instruction team can meet all of your needs, regardless of experience or ability. LITTLE CHIPPERS CLINICS (Ages 3-4) ELIGIBILITY The Little Chippers Clinics are open to all Jones & Heisman members’ children ages 3-4. Members’ grandchildren are encouraged to sign up on a space available basis. All clinics will maintain a 4 : 1 student to professional ratio, with a maximum of 16 students per clinic. Please note that an adult is highly encouraged to accompany each Little Chipper for the duration of the clinic. CLINIC TOPICS This series of clinics is an introduction to the beginning fundamentals of the short game and full swing such as grip, stance and making an “L.” Basic rules and etiquette will also be covered with an emphasis on having fun!
JUNIOR GOLF PRIVATE CLINICS & BIRTHDAY PARTIES! FORMAT If you can’t find time to make it to one of the regularly scheduled junior clinics, you can create your own clinic. This can be done anytime throughout the year. Whether you just want to schedule a one-day clinic or want to meet weekly, we can set up a program to accommodate your needs. This program has been used in the past for groups of friends, siblings, and middle school golf teams and birthday parties. ELIGIBILITY Private Clinics are open to all Jones & Heisman members’ children of all ages. Grandchildren of AAC Jones & Heisman members may also participate. REGISTRATION To organize your own private junior clinic or birthday party, please contact Chris Moore at 770-368-7755 or email ccm@ aac1.org. COST The cost for a private group clinic is $100 for the hour, plus $10 for each additional junior after the first. GOLF LEAGUE OPPORTUNITIES
2021 SPRING LITTLE BIRDIES LEAGUE (AGES 5-7) The AAC is proud to announce our Annual Spring Little Birdies League! ELIGIBILITY • Juniors ages 5—7 • The program is open to dependents of Jones & Heisman members. • Grandchildren will be allowed to participate if space allows. If the program is not full 3 weeks before the season begins, Grandchil- dren may register. • The program will be strictly limited to 30 par- ticipants for safety purposes. PRACTICE SCHEDULE Practices will be held on Wednesday & Saturday afternoons beginning approximately March 10th. MATCH SCHEDULE • Matches will begin on approximately Satur- day, March 27th at 2:00 p.m. and run for 7 weeks. • The format for each match is a 5 hole “Drive, Chip and Putt” style scramble on the Par 3 Course with 1 points available per match. Each Par 3 will be set at an appropriate yard- age for competitors ages 5 – 7 (roughly 40-60 yards per hole). We kindly ask parents to “cad- dy” for their kids in these matches for safety purposes. REGISTRATION INFORMATION • The registration fee for the Little Birdies League is $400. • Registration includes 11 clinics, 7 matches, Jersey, Hat, custom golf balls and custom priz- es at the end of the season. • Registration packets will be available in early January, and the official registration forms can be filled out online via the AAC website. • Please contact AAC Junior Golf Leader Chris Moore for more questions on registration.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE Practices will be held on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings beginning approximately Tuesday, March 9th. MATCH SCHEDULE • Matches will begin on approximately Satur- day, March 27th at 9:00 a.m. and run for 7 weeks. • The format is a partners “modified better-ball” that introduces the concept of playing your own ball to the golfers. The camp will continue to provide a sound foundation for tennis and will be led by one of our AAC certified professionals.

junior tennis overview NET GENERATION - A NEW PATHWAY FOR YOUR JUNIOR TENNIS PLAYER In the spring we began the transition to the new USTA program called Net Generation for our juniors. We have seen great strides in not only our players’ skill levels, but also the way we coach them since its introduction. Net generation is a proven method that follows planned steps to enhance the junior tennis experience and the development of their tennis skills. As the program progresses, we will be introducing new ways for you as parents to track your junior players’ development and assist in that development. Check out our new programs for the fall season and let the staff and me partner with you in your child’s tennis development. JOIN THE MOVEMENT Tennis provides numerous benefits beyond good health and activity. Kids learn teamwork, communication, balance, agility, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving and self-reliance, all while having fun and making friends. Net Generation makes it easier than ever to reap those rewards with tools, resources, and information to help your child on their journey. The clinics run Monday - Thursday, for ages 2 ½ to 18. In our program, players are separated based on skills and put into the appropriate group to ensure their growth and success in tennis.

RED BALL (CLASS RATIO 6:1) EQUIPMENT • Balls- Low compression balls • Racquets- 19”, 21”, or 23” Key Competencies for Red Ball Players: Red Ball competencies are grouped into three levels: Red Ball 3 being the beginner path and Red Ball 1 being the advanced group. Once player achieve all competencies at Red Ball 1, they are technically, tactically, and mentally ready to graduate to Orange Ball. RED BALL 3 • Rallies with. Orange Ball competencies are grouped into three levels: Orange Ball 3 being the beginner group and Orange Ball 1 being the advanced group, they are technically, tactically, and mentally ready to graduate to Green Ball and can effectively begin the transition to a full-size court. ORANGE BALL 3 • Serves consistently to both side from 60’ baseline using continental grip • Return of serve consistently lands deep to center of the court • Rallies slice groundstroke with partner from inside service line • Executes loop backswing on topspin groundstrokes

GREEN BALL (CLASS RATIO 10:1) EQUIPMENT • Balls- Green dot balls • Racquets- 25”, 26”, or 27” Key Competencies for Green Ball Players: Green Ball competencies are grouped into two levels: Green Ball 2 and Green Ball 1. Once players achieve all competencies at both levels, they are technically, tactically, and mentally ready for play with yellow balls. GREEN BALL 2 • Developed inside-out forehand and topspin angles • Directs return of serve deep center on first serve and to open court on second serve • Hits with depth and spin from behind baseline • Increased racquet speed for higher/heavier ball • On court fitness • Learn singles and doubles match-play • Introduction to doubles positioning & movements • Junior Match Play Days • 12U USTA /ALTA Leagues • USTA Tournament Level 5/6 • 1-hour private lessons per week • Match Play – Attendance is highly encouraged

YELLOW BALL 1 This program provides a strategic and innovative approach to the complete development of our athletes. Offering specific training focused on the full development of our players. Each and every one of our athletes will receive the teachings and specific on court training that will prepare them for their tennis development and proper progression. We will focus on these main components of training: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development supported by the ability of our instructors to provide specific instructions methods to provide analysis and feedback to ensure adequate progression. • • Supervised match play • Intense Fitness • Competitive drilling and tactical sessions • Mental training • Team bonding and self-motivation sessions • Competition preparation • USTA/ALTA League: Appropriate age level • USTA Tournament Level 4 and higher • 1-hour private lessons per week • Match Play – Attendance is highly encouraged MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL This program is for those players that are in middle school or high-school, and either are currently playing or would like to play for their schools’ tennis team. Technical and tactical development will be emphasized though the use of different drills and games to keep athletes engaged and help them to discover and build an individual playing style. Competitive play will be encouraged both inside and outside of classes with the implementation on our Junior Challenge Ladder and ample match-play opportunities. Class is taught on a 78’ court using green and yellow balls
Students have participated already in Green Ball 1 and experienced in junior league play. They should be actively involved in monthly USTA tournaments, participate on League teams at appropriate level. Students should be able to implement proper topspin groundstrokes with depth and placement. They must have proper grips and solid fundamental on all strokes.
