Attire for Children While the guidelines set forth for adults apply to children and adolescents in both dining areas, the Club will allow children under age 12 to dress casually, but in good taste, when dining in Merion or attending a formal Club function. Children age 12 and older must comply with the adult dress codes.

In all areas, for all ages and for both genders, excessively tight, short or baggy clothing is not considered appropriate attire.

20. Members are not to sleep in chairs or sofas located throughout the Club.

21. Card playing is not permitted in the public rooms of the Club. Locker rooms and private rooms are available for this activity.

22. Members and guests are expected to act in a courteous, orderly fashion at all times.

LOCKERS

23. Lockers in the Club will be rented to individual members at rates prescribed by the Board of Directors. Rental charges will be billed annually and in advance. Lockers are rented for one year on March 31, and no refunds will be given for any part of the year after April 30. If a request is received in writing to cancel during the month of April, a credit will be issued.

Termination of membership or a change in the classification of membership cancels a member’s right to locker use and possession of it will revert back to the Club.

24. The Men’s and Ladies’ Locker rooms are for members and guests aged 18 and older.

25. The Club does not accept responsibility for any articles placed in lockers or in storage. At the expiration of the locker rental period, the member must remove his/her possessions from the locker.

26. Members cannot keep Club towels in their lockers, nor may they remove towels from the locker rooms.

27. The Club has the right to inspect all lockers at any time.

28. The Stirling room is designated as part of the ladies’ locker room and therefore is for the exclusive use of ladies only. From time to time, the Board of Directors may designate this area for special events or Club activities, which would preclude the normal use intended for this room.

29. Guest play for bridge is governed by the AAC Ladies Bridge Association.
