ATHLETIC CENTER

1. All members must register prior to using the Athletic Center, specifying in which areas they will be utilizing.

2. Upon being charged a guest fee, members are allowed to bring guests. A guest fee charged at the Aquatic Center does not apply for the Athletic Center. If members try to avoid registering their guest and paying the fee, they will be asked to leave and a fine of $50 will apply to the member’s account. 3. All members and guests using the Athletic Center are expected to be dressed in proper attire for the sport or activity in which they are engaged in accordance with the following guidelines: a) Spandex or similar materials must be mid-thigh or longer in length. b) Closed-toe, athletic shoes must be worn at all times, unless activity specific (i.e., yoga, Pilates). c) Hats are permitted, but not allowed to be worn backwards. d) Full-length shirts are required at all times. Mid-drifts must be covered. Men many not wear sleeveless tank tops that are designed to be worn as undershirts. Any sleeveless shirts that are cut excessively low to expose the torso are not allowed. e) Any other clothing deemed inappropriate by fitness center staff will not be allowed. f) Furthermore, the fitness center staff will prohibit members and guests access to the fitness center if not dressed in appropriate attire. 4. Lockers will be rented to individual members at rates prescribed by the Board of Directors. Rental charges will be billed annually and in advance. Lockers are rented for one year on March 31, and no refunds will be given for any part of the year after April 30. If a request is received in writing to cancel during the month of April, a credit will be issued. Lockers in the junior locker room are available on a daily basis and without charge. 5. Children under the age of 13 in the Athletic Center must be accompanied and supervised by a member or dependent 18 years of age or older, unless the child is in an organized class or a practice sanctioned by the Club. For a child to be considered “accompanied and supervised” the child must be in the same room as the supervising adult at all times unless approval has been given by the supervisor on duty. All children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the cardio and weight training areas for safety purposes.

6. The gym/field may not be rented out:

a. During the hours or days of: 1. Regularly scheduled classes and at least a half hour following any classes, camps or club event being held in the gym. 2. Weekly basketball (Monday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) 3. Club events 4. November 1-March 1 – Saturdays before 4 p.m. and Sundays before 2 p.m.

Note: Only half of the gym may be rented during this time pending approval.

b. All rentals must be made at least one week prior to date needed, subject to a $25 up-charge if made within 72 hours of date needed.
