Rules – General

MEMBERS - ELECTION AND PRIVILEGES

Below are the rules established by the Board of Directors for members, spouses, dependents, and guests. Rules are established so that all may enjoy the Club with the same expectations. Violators of rules will be subjected to discipline by the Board of Directors which may include fines, suspension and up to and including expulsion.

DEPENDENTS-SPOUSES

1. Members’ spouses shall have Club privileges on such a basis as shall be determined from time to time by the Board of Directors. As the membership is owned solely by the member, a member may impose such restrictions and limitations on the use of the Club and its facilities by such member’s immediate family, including his or her spouse, as such member may elect, the detail of such restrictions and limitations to be set forth in writing and delivered to the General Manager. The Club shall use reasonable efforts to enforce such restrictions and limitations, but the Club assumes no responsibility for any violation of such restrictions or limitations, and the member at all times remains responsible for the timely payment of all charges made to the member’s account whether or not made in violation of such member’s elected restrictions and limitations. In the event of a divorce, the member shall deliver to the General Manager within seven (7) days a copy of the final divorce decree or similar evidence substantiating the divorce in order to establish that the former spouse is no longer part of the member’s immediate family. 2. Members’ unmarried children under the age of 25 are entitled to all privileges of the Club, subject however, to such limitations as prescribed by the Board of Directors. Limitations may include specific hours for use of the golf courses, tennis courts, aquatic and athletic facilities. Such children have the privileges of the dining rooms and may attend Club functions. All children, regardless of age, will be charged for food ordered in all dining outlets. Persons less than 21 years of age are not permitted in the Interlachen lounge or men’s grill. 3 . Members’ unmarried children, under the age of 25, are permitted to bring guests to the Club. However, unless it is a pre-approved special or organized event, dependent children are limited to three (3) guests per visit. This applies to all areas and departments, and is irrespective of applicable guest fees. DEPENDENTS-CHILDREN

4 . Parents are at all times responsible for the proper conduct of their children on the Club premises.

5. Unaccompanied children of members are subject to specific rules for the Athletic Center and Aquatic Center. In regards to all other areas of the Club, children under the age of 13 are not to be left alone unless approved as a qualified junior golfer, swimmer or participating in a junior golf or tennis program or other Club sponsored and supervised activity.

GUESTS

6. When hosting guests, it is the member’s responsibility to check in and register all guest names with Security and at the appropriate reception areas including the Golf Shop, Tennis Center, Fitness Center & Spa, Aquatics Center, and Clubhouse.

7. Members are responsible for their guests at all times and must insure guests know and adhere to appropriate club rules regarding facilities use, dress and decorum.

8. Guests who are the significant other of unmarried members must be registered with the Membership Director in order to enjoy the facilities of the Club in the presence of the member, without payment of guest fees, as long as they are accompanied by the member.

9. An accompanied guest (the guest of any AAC member) cannot visit the Club more than a cumulative total of eight times per year for golf, tennis, fitness center and spa.

10. Should a member wish to have an unaccompanied guest (when the member cannot be present) he/she may contact the appropriate department manager to request access for their guest which entitles the guest to use that area of the club with applicable guest fees. All billing must be to the member’s account. A member may host an unaccompanied guest a maximum of four times in a calendar year.

PROPERTY

11. The Club name, membership roster and facilities will not be used by an individual or organized group within or outside the membership to sponsor or organize activity of any type, to solicit the membership for any purpose or to post advertising of any natu re. The Club’s mailing list , e-mail addresses, and phone numbers are confidential and management is not authorized to release this information without Board approval. Members are asked not to share phone numbers or emails in this roster with anyone who is not a member.

12. Club members shall be responsible for any property of the Club which is broken or damaged by them, their spouses or family, or their guests.

13. Periodicals provided by the Club for reading purposes shall not be removed from the Club’s premises by members, their spouses, families or guests.

14. Atlanta Athletic Club is not responsible for any and all personal property or property damage occurrences within the property boundaries by any party whatsoever.

15. Checkroom facilities are furnished without charge as an accommodation to members and guests. The Club is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

16. No animals or pets will be allowed on the Club premises, except as provided under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

17. By entering Club grounds all parties irrevocably consent and authorize recordings and photographs for use in any and all media.

18. Please park in lined spaces only. The front of each building should be used for picking up and dropping off members. Handicapped spaces are provided for those vehicles displaying a handicapped sticker. A fine of $25.00 will be assessed for illegal parking. Repeat violators will be subject to disciplinary action.

MEMBER DECALS

19. In order to enter through the front gate, all members, spouses and dependents must display a current member vehicle decal on the left front headlight.

20. Member decals will, from time to time, be redesigned and redistributed. Members are responsible for displaying current/updated member vehicle decals by the posted due date at the designated location.

21. All members, spouses and dependents must surrender their membership vehicle decals to the Membership Office, when: - Vehicle is sold, given away or traded - Member resigns - Member is expelled or when requested by security or management

SERVICE AND STAFF

22. Members must not interfere with the general arrangement of Club equipment or property, nor may they supervise or direct Club employees except for customary service requests. Employees are accountable only to Club management. Complaints concerning service or employees must be made to Club management. Any negligence or misconduct of employees must be reported directly to Club management.

23. Members and guests of members shall not: reprimand employees, send employees off Club premises, or pay cash in lieu of signing checks, except in the Halfway House and Golf and Tennis Pro Shops.

24. Members are not permitted to be in the service areas of the Club. This rule must be strictly observed so that employees can properly perform their duties.

25. All employees will be employed by Club management and are subject to the direction of the General Manager. The General Manager shall be accountable to the President and, in the absence of the President, the Chairman.

CHARGES AND PAYMENTS

26. Members and properly introduced guests must sign the member’s regular Club signature or print the member’s name and membership number to all charge tickets for all services rendered.

27. Members are not permitted to sign the names of other members on charge tickets for services received.

28. When presented, all charge tickets for services must be signed with a legible member’s signature and member number. A fine may be assessed for the use of an incorrect member name and/or member number. 29. All statements for services and dues are payable upon receipt. Payments must be received by the next closing date (the last day of each month) to avoid a 10% late fee. The Club does not accept cash for payment of a member’s bill. A member whose account ha s been delinquent for 15 days will automatically be suspended. Additionally, if payment in full is not received before the last day of the month for three consecutive months, the member shall be suspended . Further, if payment in full is not received before the last day of the month four times during any twelve-month period, the member shall be suspended . Upon the second offense, any member who has been suspended for nonpayment once during a twelve-month period will automatically be dropped from membership in the Club.

After a member has been suspended, he or she will not only be required to pay the 30+ day balance, but he/she must also pay any current balances before using the Club again. In other words, suspended

members must pay for all amounts that they have been billed and for which they have received a statement.

Members whose accounts are delinquent for a period of 30 days will be dropped from membership, pursuant to notice delivered or mailed by first class, certified or registered mail to the last address shown on the records of the Club. At its discretion, the Board of Directors may re-elect, through regular channels, members who have been dropped for non-payment of account. A member will be charged a maximum of $100.00 for the first reinstatement and a maximum of $250.00 for the second reinstatement. In addition, a member whose account has been dropped three times will not be eligible for reinstatement. 30. A Member must tender their resignation in writing by the 15th of the month to be eligible to resign on the last day of that same month. The member’s account must be current and the final statement must be paid by the 15th of the following month. If the account is not paid in full by that date, the resignation is void and dues will continue to be incurred. 31. A charge of $35.00 will be assessed for any checks that are returned for insufficient funds. Additionally, a check written in payment of a member’s account that has been returned for insufficient funds will be considered a non-payment of the account and, if applicable, a 10% late fee will be assessed. Members whose checks are returned for insufficient funds TWICE during a twelve-month period will be required to pay their accounts either with a cashier’s check or with cash for at least the succeeding twelve months following the month in which the second check is returned. RETURNED CHECKS

HEISMAN FIELD

32. Heisman Field is owned by the Club and only members may use the field for exercise and walking their dogs. Members’ car transponders will allow them in the gate. We ask that members park their car facing 141. All dogs must be kept on a leash. This is also an ordinance of the City of Johns Creek. Any member whose dog is off the leash and the dog causes harm or injury to another dog or member, it is the responsibility of the dog owner to pay for medical bills caused by such injuries. The Club reserves the right to prohibit the use of the field by a member who repeatedly does not follow the dog leash law. It also reserves the right to fine the offending member.

Rules – Clubhouse

DINING SERVICES

1. Club policy mandates no tipping to any employee in the Club’s food and beverage outlets, as a service charge will be added to all food and beverage tickets. A fine will be levied against those who tip in the food and beverage outlets. Repeat offenders will be subject to a review of their actions conducted by the Executive Committee and/or the Board of Directors.

2. A member must sponsor all non-member private functions in writing. Non-member functions will be charged a room rental fee.

3. Members are not permitted to bring any food or beverages into the Club nor onto Club property without first obtaining approval from the Club’s management.

4. Reservations are required for all special functions; tables are assigned on a first-call, first-served basis. A 72-hour cancellation requirement will apply in most cases. Members will be billed for the reservation if a cancellation is not received within 72 hours of the event. In addition, for club social events, the event booking policy will be in effect: Reservations for all Club Social events open 1 month prior to the event. Some Club social events have an advance booking window of 10 days from the time reservations open so that Members and their immediate family (Members' parents, children, brothers, sisters and grandchildren) may have priority to attend these events. Once the 10-day window has passed, members may add guests to their reservation based on capacity for the event. 5. Private dining service may be arranged through the management for members and their guests. All such arrangements should be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability. Groups of more than twelve (12) are required to book a private room. 6. Outside photography of large groups (any group of 12 or more) is prohibited without prior consent from Club management or the Board of Directors. Prom, homecoming, and similar types of photography events are limited to children of members and one guest. Children of members must be accompanied by the parent member or spouse. 8. Diners who have ordered the buffet, or their meal includes soup, salad or any other buffet style items will not be allowed to package food to take home. Those who order from the menu and have plated items which they are unable to finish will be supplied containers to take their leftover food home. 9. By special prior arrangement with Club management, members booking private functions at the Club may request that the Club stay open until 1:00 a.m. for an additional fee. The fee will be determined by management. 10. When private functions are booked that occupy the entire St. Andrews Room or other areas of the Club, a non-refundable deposit must be received by the Club, at the time of the booking, to secure the date (including Monday outings, Christmas functions, weddings, corporate events, etc.). Christmas functions may be booked after January 1 for the following December. In addition, for Monday outings and Christmas functions of 100 persons or more booked on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening, a 30% non-refundable deposit of the total agreed upon estimated costs for the Monday outing/evening must be 7. No food shall be provided or consumed at any place other than those established by the Board of Directors.

received a minimum of six (6) months prior to the scheduled booking. Final payment is due upon completion of the event.

11. Booking a private function in the 1898 House will include food and beverage minimums and/or rental fees and certain restrictions will apply regarding meal service and music.

12. A member, in good standing, must sponsor every event booked. In the case that payments are not received in a timely manner, the member’s account will be charged accordingly. The member is responsible for final payment of the statement, and for the conduct of their guest(s).

13. Communications and Information Technology Policy

In an effort to preserve an appropriate level of social and professional decorum in our clubhouse and other recreational facilities, as well as protect our tax status, a recommendation for a new technology policy was drafted by the House committee and approved by the Board of Directors. Effective February 10, 2020 the following will be the new policy: No laptops, tablets, or surface devices will be permitted to be used inside the main clubhouse. This rule does not include the Scott Hudson Study room. The only exception to this rule is for use in a private room that has been reserved through the Club’s c atering department. Use of the devices mentioned above will be permitted in the lounge areas of the Fitness and Tennis Centers, as well as in the pool facilities. Please note these areas, including the Scott Hudson Study room, are not meant to be used as a regular work space and are for occasional and limited use only. To clarify, this would mean that these facilities should not be used multiple days a week or for more than a few hours in a particular day. Periodic use of these facilities for an hour or two between meetings or for similar purposes would be deemed to be compliant with this policy. The use of non-audible technology such as email, internet browsing, and texting is permitted throughout Club property, except in any of the locker room changing areas of the Club and unless otherwise outlined. These communications are restricted to use by a cell phone only. Brief audible communication via cell phone and any noise making technology is only allowed in the following areas, as long as it is not disturbing other members or guests: • Parking lots • Private banquet rooms for private events only • Yates Lounge (Royal Troon Grill waiting area) • Tommy Barnes and Bobby Jones Club Room • 1898 House and The Overlook • Terrace cocktail area outside Interlachen Lounge and lawn • Tennis Pro shop • Athletic Center lounge outside the exercise rooms • Pool Deck • Aquatics Center Café inside and outside dining areas Cell phone use of any kind is prohibited in any of the locker room changing areas at the Club. Golf courses and all practice areas are also designated “quiet zones.” On the golf course, cell phone calls may be made to the halfway house for food and beverage orders, to the golf pro shop for rulings or weather information, and in emergency situations.

For privacy concerns, please contact Club management prior to any Club Photography and digital image recording of the property.

14. Drone Policy - Out of safety concerns for members, guests, employees, and Club property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, Atlanta Athletic Club prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the membership and general public. This prohibition includes drones used for any purpose whatsoever, whether filming or videotaping, flying for recreational purpose, or by media. This prohibition on drone operations or use extends to any drones launched or operated from AAC property, as well as drones launched from private property outside of Club boundaries. 15 . Smoking and E-Cigarettes are prohibited inside any buildings at the Club. There is no smoking allowed anywhere on the covered back porch at any time. Smoking, as well as the use of electronic smoking devices and smokeless tobacco are not allowed within the pool complex; the complete pool complex, including the pavilion is designated as a non-smoking area. Smoking is allowed on the porch outside the Men’s Grill, on the lawn outside the Interlachen Lounge, and by the uncovered fire pits. 17. No one under the age of 21 is permitted in the Interlachen Lounge or Men’s Grill for any reason, even if accompanied by an adult. This particular rule is subject to advisement of the House Committee. To improve the member experience, management has the authority to suspend certain rules and restrictions for special club events. Any temporary changes to club rules will be communicated to the membership in advance when possible. 18. No alcoholic beverages shall be served to any member or guest who, in the sole discretion of the Club employee, appears intoxicated or under the legal drinking age. Also, if the member or guest appears to be under 30 years of age, he or she will not be served alcoholic beverages without proper identification. Attire for Ladies and Gentlemen • Bermuda style shorts are permitted. Jeans in good taste are permitted. No low, tight, baggy or faded jeans are allowed. • No worn/stringy hems or ripped or torn parts on pants, shorts or skirts are allowed. Short shorts and tennis shorts are not permitted. • All men’s shirts need to be worn tucked into slacks or shorts while in the clubhouse. • Collared shirts or banded collar dress shirts are required for gentlemen. Turtlenecks, jacketed warm up tops and pants are acceptable. • Caps, hats and visors are not permitted for men in the social and dining areas of the Club. Hats or caps worn backward are not permitted in any section of the Club, including parking lots or golf courses. • Hooded outerwear (hoodie) that is of the style sold in the golf shop is permitted. The hoodie must be from a golf- centric manufacturer with an optional embroidered logo no larger than 3” tall and wide. Collegiate and sweatshirt-type hoodies are not permitted in the clubhouse, or on the 19. golf courses and practice facilities. Hoodies are permitted in the clubhouse where golf attire is permitted, except in the Merion Room. • Tee shirts, gym clothes, and sweatshirts are not permitted. • Appropriate blouses are required for ladies. Turtlenecks, jacketed warm up tops and pants are acceptable. • Women are permitted to wear caps, hats and visors inside the Clubhouse. • Flip-flops and other open toe sandals are not permitted in any Clubhouse dining area. • Shorts and athletic attire are not permitted at any time in Merion.

Attire for Children While the guidelines set forth for adults apply to children and adolescents in both dining areas, the Club will allow children under age 12 to dress casually, but in good taste, when dining in Merion or attending a formal Club function. Children age 12 and older must comply with the adult dress codes.

In all areas, for all ages and for both genders, excessively tight, short or baggy clothing is not considered appropriate attire.

20. Members are not to sleep in chairs or sofas located throughout the Club.

21. Card playing is not permitted in the public rooms of the Club. Locker rooms and private rooms are available for this activity.

22. Members and guests are expected to act in a courteous, orderly fashion at all times.

LOCKERS

23. Lockers in the Club will be rented to individual members at rates prescribed by the Board of Directors. Rental charges will be billed annually and in advance. Lockers are rented for one year on March 31, and no refunds will be given for any part of the year after April 30. If a request is received in writing to cancel during the month of April, a credit will be issued.

Termination of membership or a change in the classification of membership cancels a member’s right to locker use and possession of it will revert back to the Club.

24. The Men’s and Ladies’ Locker rooms are for members and guests aged 18 and older.

25. The Club does not accept responsibility for any articles placed in lockers or in storage. At the expiration of the locker rental period, the member must remove his/her possessions from the locker.

26. Members cannot keep Club towels in their lockers, nor may they remove towels from the locker rooms.

27. The Club has the right to inspect all lockers at any time.

28. The Stirling room is designated as part of the ladies’ locker room and therefore is for the exclusive use of ladies only. From time to time, the Board of Directors may designate this area for special events or Club activities, which would preclude the normal use intended for this room.

29. Guest play for bridge is governed by the AAC Ladies Bridge Association.

FIREARMS POLICY

30 . The Atlanta Athletic Club, as a private club, shall be a “gun - free zone”. Accordingly, no member, nor any spouse, dependent, partner, family member or guest thereof, shall carry onto any premises of the Corporation, or onto any premises of any event sponsored by the Corporation, any firearm, gun, live ammunition, explosive device, incendiary device or other weapon or other hazardous material, regardless of whether such person has a license, in whatever form, to carry any of the foregoing, has registered such weapon or material or is otherwise authorized to carry such weapon or material in public or other private areas. However, members who have a license for concealed carry will to be able to leave their firearms locked in their cars while on AAC property. Failure of the member, or such spouse, dependent, partner, family member or guest thereof, to comply with the foregoing shall constitute a violation of the Corporation’s rules and shall subject such member to disciplinary actions as set forth in Section 8.9 of the Corporation’s by -laws. 31. Rules – Golf

GOLF – GENERAL

1. a. Attire for men and boys – shall consist of a collared golf shirt which must remain tucked in at all times. Tee shirt collars are not permissible. Long trousers other than denim should be neat in appearance. Golf shorts or Bermuda style shorts are permissible on the golf course provided they are no shorter than four inches above the knee measured from the top of the knee while standing. Cargo pants/shorts are not allowed. Hooded outerwear (hoodie) that is of the style sold in the golf shop is permitted. The hoodie must be from a golf- centric manufacturer with an optional embroidered logo no larger than 3” tall and wide. Collegiate and sweatshirt-type hoodies are not permitted in the clubhouse, or on the golf courses and practice facilities. Hoodies are permitted in the clubhouse where golf attire is permitted, except in the Merion Room. b. Attire for women and girls – shall consist of skirts, shorts, dresses or pants with shirts or sweaters. Dresses, skirts, and golf shorts may not be shorter than mid-thigh length measured from the top of the knee while standing. Halters, tank tops, bare midriff garments, short shorts and leggings/yoga pants (as an outer piece) are not permissible. Sleeveless tops must have a collar, crew neck or high neck. No denim is allowed. c. General – Hats, caps, and visors must be worn with the bill toward the front. Shoes are mandatory; Soft-spike or spikeless only. Specialty items, carried in the golf shop for casual and after hours wear, may not be permissible golf attire.

2. Each golfer must have a set of clubs and a bag in order to play golf on the main courses. Two players may not play from the same bag.

3. Personal beverage coolers are not permitted on the golf course.

4. Golf courses and all practice areas are designated “quiet zones.” On the golf course, cell phone calls may be made to the halfway house for food and beverage orders, to the golf pro shop for rulings or weather information, and in emergency situations. In addition, audible sound from electronic devices (i.e. music) is not allowed unless using personal listening devices or earbuds.

5. Joggers and walkers using the golf course must be off the course before the first starting time.

6. Practice is permitted only at the practice facility and the main putting green. Practice facility hours will be posted seasonally. Range balls are not to be removed from the practice facility. Chipping a nd pitching to the practice putting greens is not allowed. Practice is not permitted on the grass tee in front of the Robert T. Jones, Jr. Instruction Center except during lessons. Practice on the north end tee will be limited to artificial mats during the non-growing season.

GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE

7. All play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf, except as modified by local rules, which are posted in the locker rooms. It is each golfer’s responsibility to be familiar with the etiquette section in the Rules of Golf book.

8. Tee Time Cancellation – When a reserved tee time goes unused and is not cancelled in time to allow another member to use the time, the member may be penalized at the discretion of the Director of Golf.

9. Pace of Play Policy – It is each golfer’s responsibility to keep their group on time and in position on the golf course even if it means picking up or skipping a hole. Under no circumstances is a group allowed to fall behind time and out of position and hold up other groups. Should you encounter a delay on the course, please contact the starter so they can assist. During optimum conditions, lead groups (those with open holes in front) are expected to set a pace of 4 hours for 18 holes. During unusual circumstances (such as carts on path, inclement weather, or tournament play) a grace period may be allowed provided every effort is being made to stay on pace. When appropriate, please let faster groups play through. During peak times the pace of play will be determined according to groups of four. The blue and gold tees are reserved for single digit handicaps. For maximum enjoyment, golfers are encouraged to play forward when appropriate, matching their driving distance with the tees they play. Golfers or groups who have been warned for slow play multiple times may be penalized. 10. Lightning/Dangerous Weather Policy: Atlanta Athletic Club does not offer guaranteed protection against lightning and/or dangerous weather (i.e. sudden lightning strikes). The Club uses an automated lightning detection system that will notify golfers, in most cases, that dangerous weather is approaching. The siren will so und three blasts. At this point, it is the Club’s recommendation that all golfers stop play, return to the Clubhouse immediately and await the all clear signal (one prolonged blast). However, the ultimate decision to continue or resume play will be left to the adult golfer’s discretion. Junior golfers must come in from the courses. Golfers who elect to continue or resume play on their own will do so at their own risk. Golfers who abide by the Club’s recommendation will be given priority positioning when play officially resumes.

11. During a round, when approaching the green, golf cars should be parked on the path in order to expedite play when leaving the green.

12. Starters are employed by the Club to help golfers maintain the pace of play and follow all course rules. Starters are required to report all major rule infractions to the Director of Golf. Major infractions will be forwarded to the Golf Committee for appropriate action.

SCHEDULE OF PLAY

13. All golf facilities will be closed on Mondays, except for approved Monday outings.

14. Saturday mornings before 12 noon are reserved for designated primary Jones Golf Members ONLY, no spouses or dependents. All members must register prior to starting play and have all appropriate fees billed. 15. When hosting guests, it is the member’s responsibility to check in and register all guest names in the golf shop before starting play or practice. If the golf shop is closed, the night starter will register guests. In the absence of the night starter, the golf services desk (bag room) will register guests. This includes play on Highlands, Riverside, the Par 3 Course or when using the practice facilities. Play may not begin prior to checking in and registering guest names. NOTE: Range plans only cover guest practice on days when a greens fee is being paid. 16. Groups consisting of five or more players are prohibited at all times. Foursomes shall have priority before 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and during all peak times. During these times, players should endeavor to arrange foursomes by themselves or with the assistance of the starter. The starter shall have full discretion to fill out all groups during peak times.

17. Reserved tee times are available and recommended for both golf courses year round.

A. Tee times may be requested by submitting a tee time request on- line through the Club’s website. Requests may be submitted from 13 days in advance up to 3:00 p.m. seven days in advance.

B. The deadline for submitting tee time request cards is 3:00 p.m. one week prior to the day you are requesting.

C. Once times are assigned, members may go online or contact the starter to confirm their assigned times. E-mail confirmations will be sent to those who wish to receive them six days in advance.

D. Any times remaining after the deadline may be secured on-line or by contacting the starter.

18. Tee Time Cancellation Policy – When a reserved tee time goes unused and is not cancelled in time to allow another member to use the time, a letter will be sent by the Golf Committee to the member who originally reserved the time. The person who made the tee time may be billed $25 per player listed if there is a second occurrence.

19. All players are expected to be on the tee and ready to play at their designated tee time. Failure to do so could result in loss of tee time.

20. Players shall not stop for lunch at the turn. Any group doing so automatically relinquishes their place on the course and may lose the privilege to continue playing.

ADULT DEPENDENTS 18 YEARS & OLDER

21. Beginning three days before play, a tee time may be made after 11:00 a.m. by an Adult Dependent, except Saturdays prior to 12:00 p.m. Such play may be with a member, spouse, adult dependent, or guests over 18 years old. The Adult Dependent may make the tee time in person or by calling the Golf Shop. If a parent makes a tee time to play beginning three days before play with their Approved Junior or dependent, the tee time may be made online.

22. Adult Dependents may walk up to the 1 st tee at any time to play in an open tee time except Saturdays prior to 12:00 p.m.

JUNIOR GOLF 23 . Junior golfers are defined as dependents (of members) that are under the age of 18.

24. "Approved" junior status for those 17 and under is achieved by fulfilling all requirements set forth by the Golf Committee, along with the Junior Golf Leader. Approved juniors are expected to abide by the code of conduct established by the junior golf leadership; failure to do so may result in a suspension or revocation of approved junior status. 25. Beginning three days before play, a tee time may be made after 11:00 a.m. that includes an Approved Junior(s), except Saturdays prior to 12:00 p.m. Such play may be any combination of a member, spouse, adult dependent, or Approved Junior. The Approved Junior may make the tee time in person or by calling the Golf Shop. If a parent makes a tee time to play beginning three days before play with their Approved Junior or dependent, the tee time may be made online. Prior to three days in advance of play, tee times

may not be made by a member, spouse, or adult dependent in advance that includes an Approved Junior. Approved Juniors may walk up to the 1st tee at any time to play in an open tee time except Saturdays prior to 12:00 p.m. 27. A Junior Golfer (defined as 17 years of age and younger) may have a junior guest (age 17 years of age and younger) after 3:00 PM during DST, and after 1 PM during EST for a fee of $50, plus applicable cart or trolley fees, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. At all other times, the guest fee for a junior guest is the prevailing standard guest fee.

28. Parents or adults accompanying approved junior(s) during a round of golf in a golf cart will be charged a 9 or 18-hole golf cart fee, based on the number of holes played.

29. Juniors who are not on the “approved list” may play after 3:00 p.m. and must be accompanied by an adult on the main courses. Non-playing observers, who are not of approved junior golfer age, should not be on the main courses before 3:00 p.m. 30. Junior golfers, with a valid driver’s license or those with a learner’s permit and accompanied by an adult 21 years or older, are only allowed to use golf cars for specific practice or play. Juniors are not allowed to drive golf cars in the parking lots and must remain on the golf course side of the Clubhouse. Failure to abide by this policy will result in suspension or loss of golf car privileges. Junior golfers 12 years old and younger riding with a paying adult will not be charged a cart fee.

PAR 3 COURSE RULES

31. All players must sign for any guest fees in the golf shop and register with the starter before starting play. Reserved tee times are not required.

32. Motorized golf cars are not allowed on the Par 3 Course – walkers only.

33. The Junior Golf Program, other scheduled programming and special events take priority for course use and may reserve the course in advance.

34. A special guest fee, as determined by the Board of Directors, is in effect for the Par 3 Course.

35. Practice is not allowed on the Par 3 Course.

36. Faster players shall have the right of way.

37. The Par 3 Course is closed on Mondays.

GOLF CARS AND CADDIES

38. Golfers may walk and carry their bags year-round provided they can maintain the pace of play.

39. Golf car hours will be posted in the Club Times and golf services area on a seasonal basis. Golf cars must be returned to storage by the posted times.

40. Motorbikes, bicycles, skates and other unauthorized vehicles are not allowed on the cart paths or golf courses.

41. Golf cars are limited to two golfers and two bags except for four-baggers.

42. Golf cars must be kept on the paths for all par 3s and are to stay on paths around all tees and greens. Golf cars should be kept at least ten yards away from fairway bunkers. Always follow the appropriate daily path rules and observe return to the path signs. 43. All persons driving a golf car must have a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit. Members and spouses are responsible for their guests and children. It is each driver’s responsibility to be completely familiar with all golf car safety procedures.

44 . Four-baggers are allowed. All golf car rules apply.

45. Caddies can be requested by contacting the golf services desk at least 48 hours in advance. Every effort will be made to fill these requests. Members are responsible for paying caddies directly. See caddie master for base fees.

GUEST PLAY

46. Members may bring guests to start play except before 12:00 noon on Saturdays.

47. A limited number of properly introduced guests may play without an accompanying member only at times and under conditions as approved by the Board of Directors. Special fees will apply for unaccompanied guests and a forecaddie is mandatory. All charges for unaccompanied guests are required to be billed to the sponsoring member’s account. 48. A limited number of golf outings may be scheduled on Mondays. These outings must have the approval of the General Manager. All outings shall be sponsored by a member. All outings must follow the Club’s established Monday Outing Guidelines .

TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS

49. All participants in AAC tournaments, both members and guests, must have an established USGA stroke index or handicap. Those without an established stroke index or handicap may play in tournaments at scratch or lower where appropriate. Internet based handicaps are not accepted. 50. USGA Course handicaps will be used for tournament play. The maximum allowable course handicap in tournament play is 28 for men and 32 for women; 80% of handicaps will be used for member-guest tournaments and 90% for member-member tournaments as recommended by the USGA. The Club reserves the right to assign a player’s handicap for tournament play.

51. Tournament entry forms must be completely filled out and signed or emailed in order to be accepted. Tournament fees are non-refundable for cancellations beyond the deadline.

HANDICAP INFORMATION

52. Each golfer is responsible for posting all of their acceptable scores for handicap purposes. The following are considered acceptable scores:

A. Scores made in 18-hole rounds or combined scores for two consecutive 9-hole rounds.

B. If a player plays 13 or more holes in an 18-hole round (or seven or more holes in a nine hole round), a score shall be recorded by adding par for any unplayed holes, plus any handicap strokes to which the player is entitled.

A. Scores in both match and stroke play including those made in multi-ball competition.

53. The Golf Committee will periodically monitor the posting of scores. Golfers will be given a grace period in which to post scores. Golfers found to have not posted a score for a day when they have played will have an appropriate penalty (P) score, determined by the Golf Committee. Penalty scores can only be appealed by writing to the Golf Committee.

54. The golf shop will post all tournament scores, which allows the USGA handicap system to identify exceptional tournament scores and reduce handicaps appropriately for up to a year.

55 . The Golf Committee will monitor tournament winners and players who win in spite of penalty scores and tournament scores. If the Committee determines the legitimacy of a players’ handicap as compared to his/her play is questionable, an arbitrary handicap may be established for a period of time. In accordance with USGA Handicapping Policy, the Golf Committee has the right to establish an appropriate handicap for the player in question, and to establish the length of time this handicap will be in effect for tournament play.

56. Handicaps will be updated according to the schedule set by the Golf Committee and the GSGA.

GOLF COURSE CARE GUIDELINES

• No member vehicles are allowed on our golf courses.

• Members and guests must use good judgment before hitting into areas where golf course maintenance employees are working.

• Members are prohibited from retrieving golf balls from lakes on the courses including Mondays, except when retrieving their own balls during the normal course of play.

• The teeing ground is between the markers and two club-lengths behind them. Members are prohibited from teeing up outside this area. The golf course maintenance staff moves the markers daily in order to spread the wear over all tee areas. • Rake bunkers after playing your shot. Place the rake outside the bunker within easy reach from the edge. Walk in and out of the low side of the bunker where possible. Do not walk through a bunker except to play a shot out of it or to rake out marks.

• Repair ball marks properly. Pull grass in from the sides and level. Do not pull up the soil in the center of the ball mark.

• Replace all divots with the turf whenever possible. Sand bottles and scoops are provided for use when the divots are beyond replacement.

• A fine of at least $100.00 will be levied against anyone damaging any part of the golf courses. Fines exceeding $100.00 may be levied at the discretion of the Board of Directors, depending on the extent of the damage.

FISHING

57. Fishing is permitted in certain designated lakes seven days a week, provided fishermen stay in areas that do not interfere with golf play or with golf course management operations. Fishermen must check in with the golf starter prior to going onto the golf course. Fish at your own risk!

58. The golfer’s dress code and golf cart path policies must be adhered to when fishing. Golf cars must be returned to storage according to policy.

59. No vehicles are allowed on the course on Mondays or other days the courses are closed.

Rules - Athletics & Aquatics

ATHLETIC CENTER

1. All members must register prior to using the Athletic Center, specifying in which areas they will be utilizing.

2. Upon being charged a guest fee, members are allowed to bring guests. A guest fee charged at the Aquatic Center does not apply for the Athletic Center. If members try to avoid registering their guest and paying the fee, they will be asked to leave and a fine of $50 will apply to the member’s account. 3. All members and guests using the Athletic Center are expected to be dressed in proper attire for the sport or activity in which they are engaged in accordance with the following guidelines: a) Spandex or similar materials must be mid-thigh or longer in length. b) Closed-toe, athletic shoes must be worn at all times, unless activity specific (i.e., yoga, Pilates). c) Hats are permitted, but not allowed to be worn backwards. d) Full-length shirts are required at all times. Mid-drifts must be covered. Men many not wear sleeveless tank tops that are designed to be worn as undershirts. Any sleeveless shirts that are cut excessively low to expose the torso are not allowed. e) Any other clothing deemed inappropriate by fitness center staff will not be allowed. f) Furthermore, the fitness center staff will prohibit members and guests access to the fitness center if not dressed in appropriate attire. 4. Lockers will be rented to individual members at rates prescribed by the Board of Directors. Rental charges will be billed annually and in advance. Lockers are rented for one year on March 31, and no refunds will be given for any part of the year after April 30. If a request is received in writing to cancel during the month of April, a credit will be issued. Lockers in the junior locker room are available on a daily basis and without charge. 5. Children under the age of 13 in the Athletic Center must be accompanied and supervised by a member or dependent 18 years of age or older, unless the child is in an organized class or a practice sanctioned by the Club. For a child to be considered “accompanied and supervised” the child must be in the same room as the supervising adult at all times unless approval has been given by the supervisor on duty. All children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the cardio and weight training areas for safety purposes.

6. The gym/field may not be rented out:

a. During the hours or days of: 1. Regularly scheduled classes and at least a half hour following any classes, camps or club event being held in the gym. 2. Weekly basketball (Monday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) 3. Club events 4. November 1-March 1 – Saturdays before 4 p.m. and Sundays before 2 p.m.

Note: Only half of the gym may be rented during this time pending approval.

b. All rentals must be made at least one week prior to date needed, subject to a $25 up-charge if made within 72 hours of date needed.

c. Fees for Gym/Field rentals are $60/hour, as well as guest fees ($10) for each no-member. The sponsoring member must present a list to Fitness Center management of all non-members prior to approval. The minimum number of people (member and non-member) required for a rental is 5, maximum is 20.

d. All cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to event date. 1. Subject to a 45% fee of total rental for late cancellation notice. 2. Subject to a 75% fee of total rental for the day-of-cancellation.

d. Who may rent out the gym/field: 1. Members

2. Teams with member sponsorship upon approval – member must take total and all liability of guests on club property. Sponsor members must have all participants of the team sign release forms releasing the club of any and all liability of the guests. Teams may not rent the gym/field on a regular schedule or entire season unless approved upon by Athletic Committee and/or Board.

e. Rental notification – all gym and field rentals will be posted via: 1. Atlanta Athletic Club website calendar 2. Athletic Center website

7. There is a NO TOBACCO policy in effect in the Athletic Center. This policy includes cigarettes, e cigarettes, cigars, pipes and all smokeless tobacco products.

8. No cleats of any kind can be worn in the Athletic Center, with the exception that golf “soft spikes” may be worn in the lobby area and the locker rooms.

9. Spouses and children may use courts that are not reserved with the understanding that a member will receive priority.

10. Court reservations will be held only for 10 minutes. The gymnasium clock will be the official timepiece. Members may ask to be placed on a court waiting list. If a court is not taken by the 10-minute grace period, the court may be released to the first person on the waiting list.

11. During member reservation time, only one member is required on the court during the reserved time.

12. The wearing of protective lens glasses is required during any and all squash play, racquetball play and during any Club sanctioned racquetball or squash tournament.

13. Children under the age of 15 are not allowed in the Men’s or Women’s Locker Room (including with a parent) without exception.

14. Outside trainers are not allowed to work in the Club’s athletic facilities.

15. It is recommended that members have Athletic Center personnel demonstrate the proper use of exercise equipment before using it themselves. Otherwise they use the equipment at their own risk.

16. The Athletic Center will be open at such hours as determined by the Board of Directors and these hours will be duly posted.
