Nurturing and growing the game of golf has always been part of the fabric and culture of AAC, as evidenced by a large junior program and our own grow-the game initiatives. AAC is committed to creating a legacy through the power of these Championships. Metro Atlanta is historically diverse and sports-centric, ideally suited to expanded developmental programs and facilities. to create a facility and programs that will impact both Johns Creek and other areas surrounding Atlanta Athletic Club as well as the metro Atlanta area. This initiative would involve a State appropriation (likely a capital expenditure) in partnership with a local government partner and AAC or the PGA. This public/private partnership’s goal is the construction/creation of an asset that can be leased backed to the PGA at a nominal rate. “A Place to Play” is the working title for this vision. AAC is fortunate to own 77 acres of undeveloped land (Heisman Field) directly across the street. We are simultaneously exploring the best uses of this property. In addition to hosting the 2026 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the 2032 PGA Championship, we look forward to also hosting the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club.
