AAC Doubles Champions Crowned! Congratulations to our Doubles Champions from this past spring. Our 7.0 Men’s Champions are Chris Hubbell and Alan Barnes, and our ladies 9.0 Doubles Champions are Laurie Draper and Lauren Trapani. Congrats to both teams and to all those who played. State Champions! After their big win in May, our 2.5 Team captained by Erin Rhatigan and Brooke Wooten is heading to the 2021 Southern Sectional Championship to represent the state of GA. This is a great accomplishment and we are so proud and excited for them. They will compete in sectional matches against other states’ champions. The matches will take place July 23 in Rome, GA. Good Luck!

Team France became the 2021 Memorial Day Davis Cup Champions on a beautiful cool day. This event is such a kick start to our summer tennis season, and is always a fun and sought after event. Forty-eight players competed on four teams in a Davis Cup format with each game won contributed to the overall team score. Each team was composed of all level players, playing doubles or mixed doubles in the three rounds. Team France and Great Britain were tied going into the last round with 86 games won. Team France took four of the six matches and with forty-three games won vs Great Britain’s thirty-six games. Team France won the 2021 Davis Cup Championship. Thanks again to all those that participated and we hope you can make it to our July 4th mixer.
