H. Tournaments/Events a. Work with Tournament Chair to ensure all details are covered and executed.
b. Absolute Rule: A MAXIMUM HANDICAP of 36 is all that is allowed, regardless of the actual handicap. Be sure a Max handicap of 36 is all that is allocated on any scorecard where applicable. c. Pro Shop Liaison/Director of Golf or Pro Shop Staff member must be on the 1 st Tee prior to the 1 st Tee Time. d. Prepared Score Cards with member’s names and handicaps at 1 st Tee. e. Format Sheets printed and on carts. f. Review Rules with each group. g. Pro Shop Liaison/Director of Golf or Pro Shop Staff member on hand at the conclusion of play until the last tee time has finished play to collect score cards. h. Score Board with all players listed and scores posted at conclusion of play/luncheon. i. Pro Shop Liaison/Director of Golf or Pro Shop Staff member tabulates winners and creates any Pro Shop Gift Certificates to be given out after play. Winners are paid out to ¼ of the field in a graduating scale. j. Gift Certificate dollar amounts posted to AAC account of the Female member. k. Pro Shop Liaison/Director of Golf or Pro Shop Staff member on hand to announce winners and give out awards. l. Post all allowed scores played during an official AACWGA 18 Hole event in the Pro Shop approved Golf Statistic/Communication Application and to GHIN for each member as soon as the event has concluded. m. Email to ALL members the results of the golf event as soon as possible, and no later than 2 days from the event end date. I. End Of The Year Award Calculations a. After the last Play Day/Tournament of the golfing season, calculate the Most Improved Handicap % 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd places
i. Winners must have been association members at the end of the previous season. To determine most improved golfers, a GHIN report is generated by the Pro Shop comparing the handicap indices of members at the close of the current season to handicap indices at the close of the previous season. Members must have participated in at least 10 AACWGA days for which a score was posted during the AACWGA calendar year. b. Work with Play Day Chair and 2 nd VP to review Year End Awards and Golfer of The Year. c. A Final Awards Report from the 2 nd VP will be given to you with the members’ name, the award name and the dollar amount for the award. Pro Shop Gift Certificates will need to be printed up and given to the 2 nd VP, at least two days before the Closing Brunch, to be able to hand out to all winners at the Closing Brunch. d. Gift Certificate dollar amounts posted to AAC account of the Female member. e. The Pro Shop will submit a Final Awards bill to the AACWGA 18 Hole account for the total amount of Gift Certificates awarded for the End Of The Year.
TIME TABLE A. January a. Meet with new AACWGA Board after the final golf calendar is published to meet the New Board and Review the golfing year. B. February – a. Meet with AACWGA Board/Committee to plan Play Days, Events, Review Tournaments and discuss the upcoming golfing season. C. March a. Attend AACWGA 18 Hole Opening Day Brunch. b. Help facilitate Rules Clinic. D. March – November a. Manage all Liaison Responsibilities, Play Days, Events and Tournaments for the AACWGA 18 Hole organization. E. November a. Help with End of The Year Awards, Calculations and Gift Certificates. b. Attend Closing Brunch. Effective January 2023
