Infant Care For infants under the age of 1, we ask for a courtesy call or email to ensure we have proper staff coverage. Diapers, a change of clothing, comfort items, age appropriate snack/beverages items in clean ready to use containers, must be left with the child at the time of drop off. Please pack a full change of clothing for all children under the ages 5. Please label all children’s belongings with the child’s full name. For parent’s convenience, The Timbers provides infant care products such diapers and wipes as backup to what parents have sent. Cloth diapers are prohibited. Children must be completely covered on top and bottom, including covering over diapers. Please provide a complete change of clothes, at least one extra bottle, and/or baby food in addition to any regular portions they will need while in our care. Additional items such as cream, pacifiers, and comfort items are welcome. Counselors are required to adhere to AAP Safe Sleep Guidelines for SIDS prevention. Il lness Policy Our full Illness Policy is in the Policies form you signed with your registration packet. Basically, if they are too sick for school they are also unable to attend Timbers Drop-In Care, events, or camps. Please be mindful and help us keep everyone healthy.
What to Expect During Drop-In care your child will have time to freely explore games, crafts, and more. When it is appropriate and staff coverage allows for it our counselors will lead the kids in some games and activities. During “reservation required’ events and camps you can expect a schedule of themed counselor led activities such as games, sports, crafts, and more. What to Bring Please make sure you have a completed and updated registration packet on file with us. For children 5 and under we ask that you send a complete change of clothes each time you drop them off. We ask that every time your child comes please send a water bottle labeled with their name on it. During the summer please send sunscreen. Food and Beverages We will provide your child a snack during their time with us. For Drop-In care this will be goldfish or animal crackers. During events and camps the snacks will vary based on theme and events. During “registration required” events and camps we will notify you at the time of registration if lunch or dinner will be provided. At any other time, you are welcome to notify our staff if you would like us to order a meal for your child from the Troon. We are a strictly nut and gum free area. If you do send a snack for your child, please be sure to abide by this rule. We can’t allow them to eat any nut products.
