Youth Guide: Spring/Summer 2023

Junior Teams and Tournament Play We currently have 3 Alta Teams for the upcoming season. I am looking to add a Boys 15U team and 10U team, as well as a girls 12U and 10U. If you would like for your child to participate please email me. Registration for a new team has closed, but we have spots available on our current Boys 18U and 12U team as well as Girls 15U and 12U. We are looking to build a tournament team which can play tournaments together and have a coach on site with them watching and evaluating the matches. Both league play and tournament play gives coaches an idea if the students are progressing in matches under pressure as they devel op through the program. GROUP AGES: RED BALL – 3 – 6 YEARS OLD ORANGE BALL – 6 – 9 YEARS OLD GREEN DOT BALL – 8 – 11 YEARS OLD YELLOW BALL – 12+ There are always exceptions and a child may be moved up a group if the coaches believe they are ready for it. REQUIREMENTS TO MOVE UP IN LEVEL: • RED BALL TO ORANGE BALL • 5 ball rally • bServe into correct box • ORANGE BALL TO GREEN BALL • Must be able to rally 10+ balls • Must be able to change direction of the ball with each stroke • Consistent technique and be able to hit different spins • Must be able to serve with continental grip • Must know scoring for sets and tie breakers • GREEN BALL TO YELLOW BALL • Must be able to rally 25+ balls • Must be able to use patterns consistently • Technical proficiency for all strokes CLINIC SCHEDULE RED BALL MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY 4-5 PM 1 Day - $180 ($30 per hour) / 2 Days - $325 ($27 per hour) ORANGE BALL TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY 4-5 PM 1 Day - $180 (30 per hour / 2 Days - $325 ($27 per hour) GREEN DOT BALL MONDAY – THURSDAY 5-7 PM 2 Day - $600 ($25 per hour) / 3 Days - $830 ($23 per hour) / 4 Day - $960 ($20 per hour) YELLOW BALL MONDAY – THURSDAY 5-7 PM 2 Day - $720 ($30 per hour) / 3 Days - $900 ($25 per hour) / 4 Day - $1105 ($23 per hour)
