YOUTH & FAMILY ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR, Stefanie Arrington We have had an amazing summer and are looking forward to a fun filled fall and winter! We have great activities for your kids and would love to see them at any of our events! One important thing to take note of is that TGIF and Saturday Night events beginning in September will now begin at 5pm rather than 6pm. Drop-In Rates will be increasing to $12 per hour and $14 per hour for guests. Bulk packages have also changed to reflect this.
FROM THE TIMBERS TEAM We are here to make your lives easier. We want you to know that your children will be well cared for while you enjoy your time here at AAC or even go off site for a date night. We are building a new team so you will see lots of new faces around the Timbers area. Please know that all of these people are here to serve you and your children to the best of their ability. Please help us make your child’s experience here as carefree as possible. Please send a change of clothes with your child if they are under the age of 5. Please send a water bottle labeled with your During Drop-In care your child will have time to freely explore games, crafts, and more. When it is appropriate and staff coverage allows for it our counselors will lead the kids in some games and activities. During “reservation required’ events and camps you can expect a schedule of themed counselor led activities such as games, sports, crafts, and more. Parents are required to set up a KidCheck account and update it as needed. WHAT TO BRING Please make sure you have a completed and updated registration packet on file with us. For children 5 and under we ask that you send a complete change of clothes each time you drop them off. We ask that every time your child comes please send a water bottle labeled with their name on it. During the summer please send sunscreen. child’s name for all ages! WHAT TO EXPECT
FOOD AND BEVERAGES We will provide your child a snack during their time with us. For Drop-In care this will be goldfish or animal crackers. During events and camps the snacks will vary based on theme and events. During “registration required” events and camps we will notify you at the time of registration if lunch or dinner will be provided. At any other time, you are welcome to notify our staff if you would like us to order a meal for your child from the Troon. We are a strictly nut and gum free area. If you do send a snack for your child, please be sure to abide by this rule. We can’t allow them to eat any nut products. INFANT CARE For infants under the age of 1, we ask for a courtesy call or email to ensure we have proper staff coverage. Diapers and wipes are included in Timbers Drop-In Care, however, if you have a brand preference or a child with sensitive skin, we ask that you provide the needed diapers and wipes. Please provide a complete change of clothes, at least one extra bottle, and/or baby food in addition to any regular portions they will need while in our care. Additional items such as cream, pacifiers, and comfort items are welcome. Counselors are required to adhere to AAP Safe Sleep Guidelines for SIDS prevention. ILLNESS POLICY Our full Illness Policy is in the Policies form you signed with your registration packet. Basically, if they are too sick for school they are also unable to attend Timbers Drop-In Care, events, or camps. Please be mindful and help us keep everyone healthy.

Mondays - Thursdays: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Fridays - Saturdays: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Timbers will be closed on the following dates: November 23, December 24/25, January 1 December 3 and 10: Timbers hours may differ Resuming for dates in September and beyond! Do you want to take the stress out of your kid’s birthday party? Let the Youth Activities Staff do all the work! Party planning services start at $250 for two hours of Timbers space time, setup and clean up. Other services can be provided at additional costs. Contact Stefanie Arrington, Youth and Family Activities Director for more information. BIRTHDAY PARTIES Bulk Packages for DROP IN can be purchased each calendar month. (If purchased on May 9 you still only have until May 31 to use it.) You can make advance arrangements for future months, but charges will be made in the month the bundles are meant for. Unused amounts DO NOT roll over to the next month. Package Hours can be used for any child ages 2-12 on your membership. Guests do not qualify. Any time over the 4 hours a day/ 10 hours a week limit will be charged at regular rates and won’t be deducted from your bulk packages. BULK PACKAGES
We need at least 6 kids signed up to have these events. We may cancel 28 hours in advance if there are not enough kids registered. For some events, there is a 20% sibling discount for multiple children signed up for the same event. This does not include guests. The prices listed here are Early Bird Prices that end one day before the event happens. Any registrations after this will have higher prices. Thursdays SPECIAL THURSDAY NIGHT EVENTS Drop in ends at 7pm. These events begin right after drop in. If you need to drop your kids off earlier than 7pm you can do that with drop in. September 2nd- LEGO Night - We have thousands of awesome LEGO bricks for your kids imaginations to run wild with! We will even pull out the GIANT LEGO BRICKS! September 16th- Arts and Crafts Night - Bring your budding artists for a fun night of arts and crafts. The possibilities are endless. October 14th- GLOW Party - Black Lights, Neon, and glow sticks galore! Your kids won’t want to miss this epic night of GLOW fun! There may even be strobe light dodgeball! October 28th- Drive In/ PJ Party- Where your PJ’s and come to Timbers very own kids only Drive in Movie! Kids will even get to take home their awesome cardboard cars! November 4th- Fall Fest - Come enjoy some traditional and non-traditional fall festival fun! November 18th- Friendsgiving- Invite a friend and come out for an awesome night of friends, fall, and fun! December 2nd- Elf Training - Come experience the training that Santa’s Elves go through before they are put to work in the workshop! December 16th - Reindeer Olympics: Come participate in awesome Reindeer Olympics! This is how Santa’s reindeer stay in shape! January 13th- Nerf Wars: Blasters loaded and ready for an awesome night of shoot outs and target practice! January 27th- Special Guest Night: More Details to be announced later! February 10th – BEE My BESTIE!: Bring a friend and come celebrate friendship with us! February 24th- LEGO Night : If you build it they will come! We have awesome LEGO builds just waiting to be built!

There will be tons of games and fun! December 8- Grinch Party: We won’t let the Grinch steal our Christmas Spirit! Come have a Grinchy good time with some Christmas games and crafts! December 15- Polar Express Party: Wear your Christmas PJ’s and come watch Polar Express, make a special gift for your grownup and have some hot coco and cookies! Saturdays KIDS NIGHT OUT Separate event registration required for each age group. Dinner ordered separately from Troon, unless otherwise noted on registration website. Ages 5 and under| 6-10pm | $35 These Saturday Kids Night Out events will keep your little ones engaged, entertained and even learning. Shhhh… don’t tell them that part. We will have gross and fine motor activities, STEAM activities, and much more! Dinner ordered separately from Troon. CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA Reservations are Required Monday, September 4th Boat Building: Noon - 1:30 p.m. Boat Building Materials Provided Regatta Races Begin at 1:30 p.m. $30 per Boat Building Kit All Ages Welcome Races will be held in heats determined by the age of the Boat Captain. Reservations are required for the Cardboard Boat Regatta and will be limited to the first 50 registered. Event Guidelines: • Please be sure to include the TOTAL NUMBER OF FAMILY MEMBERS AND THEIR NAMES of those attending the boat regatta in your reservation. • Your RSVP for this event will count towards the Pool Reservation (10 am – 3:30 pm) for Labor Day. • Boat building rules: • Boats can only be built with materials provided by in the Boat building kit. • The captain must have their bottom and legs inside the boat during the race. No kickboards will be allowed. Think Boat, canoe, kayak. • Building will be from noon until 1:30. No building after 1:30. • Races will be from 1:30-2:30. GOLF INSTRUCTION
JUNIOR GOLF PRIVATE CLINICS & BIRTHDAY PARTIES! FORMAT If you can’t find time to make it to one of the regularly scheduled junior clinics, you can create your own clinic. This can be done anytime throughout the year. Whether you just want to schedule a one-day clinic or want to meet weekly, we can set up a program to accommodate your needs. This program has been used in the past for groups of friends, siblings, and middle school golf teams and birthday parties. ELIGIBILITY Private Clinics are open to all Jones & Heisman members’ children of all ages. Grandchildren of AAC Jones & Heisman members may also participate. REGISTRATION To organize your own private junior clinic or birthday party, please contact Chris Moore at 770-368-7755 or email ccm@aac1.org. COST The cost for a private group clinic is $100 for the hour, plus $10 for each additional junior after the first. After the sixth additional junior, another $100 will be billed to the account for the extra instructor required. COST STRUCTURE FOR A ONE-HOUR CLINIC:
LITTLE CHIPPERS CLINICS (Ages 3-4) ELIGIBILITY The Little Chippers Clinics are open to all Jones & Heisman members’ children ages 3-4. Members’ grandchildren are encouraged to sign up on a space available basis. All clinics will maintain a 4 : 1 student to professional ratio, with a maximum of 16 students per clinic. Please note that an adult is highly encouraged to accompany each Little Chipper for the duration of the clinic. CLINIC TOPICS This series of clinics is an introduction to the beginning fundamentals of the short game and full swing such as grip, stance and making an “L.” Basic rules and etiquette will also be covered with an emphasis on having fun!

THE 2024 PAR 3 TOUR!
ELIGIBILITY The Par 3 Tour is open to juniors of all Jones Golf Member Families. Heisman members and academy members are not eligible to compete on the Par 3 Tour. It is recommended that a junior has a proficient foundation in Driving, Chipping and Putting before competing. FORMAT The AAC’s Par 3 Tour runs from January through December. Formats will typically either be Individual Competition or Team Scramble Competition. Pairings will be made on the first tee prior to each event. Other than specified major events, no registration is required. Par 3 Tour events on Saturday normally begin at noon, and Par 3 Tour events on Sunday normally begin at 2:00 p.m. Entry fees are $18, with proceeds paid out to the winning teams in Golf Shop merchandise credit. All earnings will be tracked on the 2022 Money List. Juniors can also move up the Money List by competing in the Par 3 Tour, the Jr. Club Championship, and other tournaments. For more information on these activities refer to those pages in this guide.
PAR 3 MAJORS! For 2024, the Par 3 Tour will again feature the 4 majors. This year the format of the majors will continue the same format with a 9 Hole Boys & Girls division and a Championship Division. The overall low 18 score from the Championship Division will earn an exemption into the 2021 Junior Big Break in October, provided that player competes in at least 3 Sunday Par 3 Tournaments. The entry fee for major championships is $22 per player., and players can be signed up by emailing AAC Junior Golf Leader Chris Moore at ccm@aac1.org. YEAR-END HONORS The top ten players on the Money List, following the final Par 3 Tour event in December, will receive year-end prizes to be presented at the annual awards ceremony in January, 2025. GOLF LEAGUES
2024 SPRING LITTLE BIRDIES LEAGUE (AGES 5-7) The AAC is proud to announce our Annual Spring Little Birdies League! ELIGIBILITY • Juniors ages 5—7 • The program is open to dependents of Jones & Heisman members. • Grandchildren will be allowed to participate if space allows. If the program is not full 3 weeks before the season begins, Grandchildren may register. • The program will be strictly limited to 48 participants for safety purposes. PRACTICE SCHEDULE Practices will be held on Wednesday & Saturday afternoons beginning approximately March 6th. MATCH SCHEDULE • Matches will begin on approximately Saturday, March 23rd at 2:30 p.m. and run for 7 weeks. • The format for each match is a 5 hole “Drive, Chip and Putt” style scramble on the Par 3 Course with 1 points available per match. Each Par 3 will be set at an appropriate yardage for competitors ages 5 – 7 (roughly 40-60 yards per hole). We kindly ask parents to “caddy” for their kids in these matches for safety purposes. REGISTRATION INFORMATION • The registration fee for the Little Birdies League is $499. • Registration includes 11 clinics, 7 matches, Jersey, Hat, custom golf balls and custom prizes at the end of the season. • Registration packets will be available in early January, and the official registration forms can be filled out online via the AAC website. 2024 SPRING FLYING EAGLES GOLF LEAGUE (AGES 8 – 12) The AAC is proud to announce the Spring Flying Eagles Golf League! ELIGIBILITY • Juniors ages 8—12 • The program is open to dependents of Jones & Heisman members. • If the program is not full 3 weeks before the season begins, Grandchildren may register. PRACTICE SCHEDULE Practices will be held on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings beginning approximately Tuesday, March 5th. MATCH SCHEDULE • Matches will begin on approximately Saturday, March 23rd at 9:00 a.m. and run for 7 weeks. • The format is a partners “modified better-ball” that introduces the concept of playing your own ball to the golfers. REGISTRATION INFORMATION • The registration fee for the Flying Eagles Golf League is $499. • Registration includes 11 clinics, 7 matches, Jersey, Hat, and custom prizes throughout and at the end of the season. • Registration packets will be available in early January, and the official registration forms can be filled out online. Register your child for a 3-day minicamp ahead of a weekend full of eating and shopping! Red and Orange ball 10 – 11 am, Yellow and Green Ball 11 am – 1 pm. Guests are welcomed. Winter Camp – register your child for some exercise during the winter break. Clinics will run from 10 – 11 am for Red and Orange Ball and 11 – 1 pm for Green and Yellow ball. There is a $25 discount for members that sign up with a guest.
The tennis center will be holding its annual Halloween Event. This is one of our biggest events for the Juniors. A fun filled spooky day, your child dressed in costume will be playing tennis, have a spooky time in the escape room, paint tennis balls, enjoy cotton candy, pizza, and tons of candy! Check-in will open at 5:30

Welcome to the AAC Junior Development Tennis Program. The new program brings structure and discipline with a focus on technical and athletic development while having fun.
Red Ball – 3 – 6 years old Orange Ball – 6 – 9 years old

There are always exceptions and a child may be moved up a group if the coaches believe they are ready for it.
REQUIREMENTS TO MOVE UP IN LEVEL 1. Red Ball to Orange Ball a. 5 ball rally b. Serve into correct box 2. Orange Ball to Green Ball a. Must be able to rally 10+ balls b. Must be able to change direction of the ball with each stroke c. Consistent technique and be able to hit different spins d. Must be able to serve with continental grip e. Must know scoring for sets and tie breakers 3. Green Ball to Yellow Ball a. Must be able to rally 25+ balls b. Must be able to use patterns consistently c. Technical proficiency for all strokes
JUNIOR TEAMS AND TOURNAMENT PLAY We currently have 3 ALTA Teams for the upcoming season. I hope to have enough players to form a new Girls 12U team and a 10U. If you would like for your child to participate please email me at PAubone@aac1.org. Registration for a new team has closed, but we have spots available on our current Boys 18U and 12U team as well as Girls 15U and 12U. We are looking to build an AAC Tournament Team for those who want to play tournaments together and have a coach on site with them watching and evaluating the matches. Both, league play and tournament play gives coaches an idea if the player is progressing in matches under pressure as they develop through the program. Registration for the tournament team will begin April 1, 2024 at which time a calendar of tournaments will be developed for parents and students participating in the team.
