USGA Member Communique

A Message from Your President Dear Members, Throughout our Club’s 124-year history, we have developed a reputation for championship golf by welcoming elite amateur and professional golfers from across the world to compete on our courses.

Today, I am pleased to announce that the United States Golf Association (USGA) has accepted our invitation to conduct three future Amateur championships here in Johns Creek, as follows:

2025 U.S. GIRLS’ JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP 2030 U.S. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP 2035 U.S. WOMEN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Our historic club has previously hosted six USGA championships, and this next chapter of our championship tradition will build on our enduring relationship with the USGA. Each of these three championships offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the historic accomplishments of amateur golfers in our membership history and our outstanding junior golf program. Moreover, we could not dream of a better way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bobby Jones’ Grand Slam than by hosting one of the four championships he won in 1930. With this commitment, the Atlanta Athletic Club will become the first club in the country to have hosted the U.S Open, U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur, U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Girls’ Junior Championships. USGA Senior Managing Director of Championships, Mark Hill, who was on site this morning to make this momentous announcement, said “We are thrilled to return to Atlanta Athletic Club to conduct these three USGA championships and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship with this famed club, which has been home to so many memorable USGA championships and legendary champions.” As we look toward our 125th anniversary next year, please take a moment to celebrate this historic announcement with your fellow members.
