A Message from Your President Dear Members, Throughout our Club’s 124-year history, we have developed a reputation for championship golf by welcoming elite amateur and professional golfers from across the world to compete on our courses.

Today, I am pleased to announce that the United States Golf Association (USGA) has accepted our invitation to conduct three future Amateur championships here in Johns Creek, as follows:

2025 U.S. GIRLS’ JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP 2030 U.S. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP 2035 U.S. WOMEN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Our historic club has previously hosted six USGA championships, and this next chapter of our championship tradition will build on our enduring relationship with the USGA. Each of these three championships offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the historic accomplishments of amateur golfers in our membership history and our outstanding junior golf program. Moreover, we could not dream of a better way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bobby Jones’ Grand Slam than by hosting one of the four championships he won in 1930. With this commitment, the Atlanta Athletic Club will become the first club in the country to have hosted the U.S Open, U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur, U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Girls’ Junior Championships. USGA Senior Managing Director of Championships, Mark Hill, who was on site this morning to make this momentous announcement, said “We are thrilled to return to Atlanta Athletic Club to conduct these three USGA championships and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship with this famed club, which has been home to so many memorable USGA championships and legendary champions.” As we look toward our 125th anniversary next year, please take a moment to celebrate this historic announcement with your fellow members.

Frequently Asked Questions What time of year will these Championships take place? All three of the Championships will occur in July and August, which is during the peak growing season of our Zoysia and Bermuda grasses. Which courses will be used for these championships? 2025 U.S. Girls’ Junior: The competition course will be named following the completion of the Riverside course renovation. 2030 U.S. Amateur: Similar to 2014, stroke play will be on Highlands and Riverside and match play will be on Highlands 2035 U.S. Women’s Amateur: stroke play and match play on Highlands. What is the disruption to member usage? All three championships have a significantly lower impact to the Club than compared to a professional event. Some non-golf areas of the club will remain open, and there is not a requirement for any major temporary structures to be built. How long will the courses be closed? Member play is allowed the week before the first practice round of each event. The Board and leadership team will develop a usage plan for each event that balances member demand for tee times with our desire to optimize agronomic conditions for competitors. The installation of new sub-surface drainage on Highlands should materially improve the playing conditions of the fairways if we were to have a wet summer. This would greatly

reduce any member impact in preparing the course for a tournament. Will the Championships cost the Club money to host? No, there will be no charges to club members. Will we continue to have professional events at the AAC?

The AAC Championship Committee maintains an active dialogue with the USGA, PGA and other national, regional and local golf organizations. We will continue to evaluate championship hosting opportunities that reflect our reputation for championship golf while being mindful of any potential disruption to member enjoyment of the Club.
