Services Guide
The Club recognizes the importance of technology, and has approved the following rules for the enjoyment of all Club members. No laptops, tablets, or surface devices will be permitted to be used inside the main clubhouse. This rule does not include the Scott Hudson Study room. The only exception to this rule is for use in a private room that has been reserved through the Club’s catering department. Use of the devices mentioned above will be permitted in the lounge areas of the Fitness and Tennis Centers, as well as in the pool facilities. Please note these areas, including the Scott Hudson Study room, are not meant COMMUNICATIONS/TECHNOLOGY POLICY
to be used as a regular work space and are for occasional and limited use only. To clarify, this would mean that these facilities should not be used multiple days a week or for more than a few hours in a particular day. Periodic use of these facilities for an hour or two between meetings or for similar purposes would be deemed to be compliant with this policy. The use of non-audible technology such as email, internet browsing, and texting is permitted throughout Club property, except in any of the locker room changing areas of the Club and unless otherwise outlined. These communications are restricted to use by a cell phone only. Brief audible communication via cell phone and any noise making technology is only allowed in the following areas, as long as it is not disturbing other members or guests: • Parking lots
• Private banquet rooms for private events only • Yates Lounge (Royal Troon Grill waiting area) • Tommy Barnes and Bobby Jones Club Room • 1898 House and The Overlook • Terrace cocktail area outside Interlachen Lounge and lawn • Tennis Pro shop • Athletic Center lounge outside the exercise rooms • Pool Deck • Aquatics Center Café inside and outside dining areas
DRONE POLICY Out of safety concerns for members, guests, employees, and Club property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, Atlanta Athletic Club prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the membership and general public. This prohibition includes drones used for any purpose whatsoever, whether filming or videotaping, flying for recreational purpose, or by media. This prohibition on drone operations or use extends to any drones launched or operated from AAC property, as well as drones launched from private property outside of Club boundaries.
Cell phone use of any kind is prohibited in any of the locker room changing areas at the Club.
Golf courses and all practice areas are also designated “quiet zones.” On the golf course, cell phone calls may be made to the halfway house for food and beverage orders, to the golf pro shop for rulings or weather information, and in emergency situations.
