Service Standards

SERVINGTHEMEMBER ASSIST MEMBERS WITH THEIR CHAIRS When Members/guests arrive at their table, help with their chairs. This includes pulling out the chairs for both women and men. MENUS When sitting Members/guests, wait until they are fully seated and hand menus to the each Member/ guest individually. SERVE LADIES FIRST We always serve ladies before serving gentlemen. Women are served first, going clockwise around the table, then men are served clockwise. That goes for every step of the service, from how the water is poured to the order in which orders are taken to how plates arrive to (and are set down on) the table. SERVING THE MEMBERS USINGOPEN HANDED SERVICE Open-handed service means serving all guests using an “open” arm or hand gesture. That is, instead of having your back and elbow facing the guest when placing or removing an item in front of them, your stature is open, with your front torso and inside of the arm facing them.
