Clubhouse Dress Code

CLUBHOUSE ATTIRE

Appropriate Dress for Gentlemen Royal Troon Grill, Interlachen Lounge, Private Rooms • Bermuda style shorts are permitted. Short shorts and tennis shorts are not permitted • No worn/stringy hems or ripped or torn parts on pants. • Jeans in good taste are permitted. No low, tight, baggy or faded jeans are allowed. • Collared shirts or banded collar dress shirts are required for gentlemen. Turtlenecks, jacketed warm up tops and pants are acceptable. • All boy’s and men’s shirts need to be worn tucked into slacks or shorts while in the clubhouse. • Tee shirts, gym clothes, and sweatshirts are not permitted. • Caps, hats and visors are not permitted inside the social and dining areas of the Club. Hats or caps worn backward are not permitted in any section of the Club, including parking lots or golf courses. • Flip-flops and other open toe sandals are not permitted in any Clubhouse dining area. Turtlenecks, jacketed warm up tops and pants are acceptable. • Tee shirts, gym clothes, and sweatshirts are not permitted. • Women are permitted to wear caps, hats and visors inside the clubhouse. Hats or caps worn backward are not permitted in any section of the Club, including parking lots or golf courses. • Jacketed warm ups or cover-ups are required for all tennis outfits. • Mid-sections must be covered. • Rubber Flip-flops designed for the “beach or pool” are not permitted in the Clubhouse. Ladies may wear leather or cloth open toe sandals. Appropriate Dress for Adolescents and Children While the guidelines set forth for adults apply to children and adolescents in both dining areas, the Club will allow children under age 12 to dress casually, but in good taste, when dining in Merion or attending a formal Club function. Children age 12 and older must comply with the adult dress codes. In all areas, for all ages and for both genders, excessively tight, short or baggy clothing is not considered appropriate attire. Merion and Veranda Appropriate Dress for Men and Women Acceptable attire is business/country club casual, which includes: collared shirts, banded collared dress shirts, denim in good taste or turtleneck shirts with dress slacks. Corresponding appropriate attire for ladies during these dining times is expected. Jackets are optional. Athletic attire is not permitted at any time in Merion.
