The Gentlemen’s Par 3 Summer League has been a hit! 168 gentlemen are playing on 14 teams every Wednesday. This has been a great addition to the event calendar with its emphasis on fun and meeting fellow members. The League will conclude with a shoot-out in August to determine the overall champion for this inaugural event that is sure to be a mainstay on the calendar. The Ladies Operation 36 development program continues to be strong introducing new ladies into the game and being a solid base of instruction for returning golfers. The Golf Operation has been in full swing this summer. New initiatives have been positively received by the membership, play on Highlands has been strong, and participation in junior programming continues to be sold out. Celebrating significant milestones of employment, Golf Instructor, Jimmy Harris, has just celebrated 20 years of service, and John “Coach” Koch 10 years. We are grateful for the continued professionalism and contributions Jimmy and “Coach” make to the membership on a daily basis. New members of the golf operations team are Aidan Rice, serving as an Assistant Golf Professional, and Michael Bashlor, as Golf Professional Starter.
