Ladies USTA 40 & OVER Registration closes: Wednesday Oct. 19. Play on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. PLAY FORMAT: 1 SINGLE, 4 DOUBLES DOUBLES STRATEGY SESSION: Are you looking to practice just doubles focusing on strategy and court positioning? Ask 2 or 3 of your tennis friends, pick a time and day that is convenient for you, and plan a tennis session just on doubles strategy. This type of class is great if you usually play with one or two partners and want to make these partnerships the best they can be. I will work with you an hour or an hour and a half, your group can decide. I will work with you to help define your partnerships strengths and weakness. We will work on your partnership game to maximize your wins and to improve your communication which is vital to your partnership success. Our three men’s teams, the A team captained by David Clough, the B team captained by Todd Kohout and the C team captained by Mike Dorr, will begin play Saturday, September 11 at 9 a.m. USTA Men SPRING LEAGUE Year 2022 Registration Opens: Monday, November 29, 2021 – Closes: Tuesday, January 18, 2022 . Play Begins: Sunday, February 6, 2022 @ 4 p.m. Play Ends: Sunday, March 20, 2022 There are no matches on Sunday, April 17, 2022 . Playoffs Begin: Sunday, March 27, 2022. City Final: Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 4 p.m. (Rain Date: Sunday, April 24) MEN’S NIGHT UPDATE Men’s Night will move indoors Thursday, November 11. Two courts will start play at 6:30 p.m. and two courts at 7:30 p.m. Please remember that registration is required, and space is limited to 16 players. Contact Jeff Stack each week by Thursday at noon to reserve your spot. Ladies’ Tennis TERRIFIC SUMMER SEASON SUMMARY: What an incredibly hot summer we have had, but that didn’t slow down our teams. We had a terrific season with nine teams making it to the playoffs and two of them making it as far as The USTA City Championship.
