SOCIAL & DINING
Ladies Bridge Association AAC Ladies Bridge Association hosted our August couples bridge in the Dot Kirby card room with 28 (14 couples) players attending. Sandra Evans, Couples Events chairperson, and her husband Tom were great organizers for the event. A dinner buffet was immediately following bridge play in the Oakmont Room. Due to the Labor Day holiday our next couples bridge will be on Friday, September 10 and return to the first Friday of each month. The October event will be on October1st. Congratulations to our winners of the August couples event Decie & Bill Nygaard 1st place and Debbie & Lou Skubic 2nd place. We are delighted to continue our weekly SOCIAL BRIDGE on Wednesdays in the Dot Kirby card room at 3:00 PM. DUPLICATE BRIDGE will continue as soon as our Bridge Director returns. We generally have 4 to 6 tables with room for more. Beachie Hall, Social Bridge coordinator, sends weekly invitations to all members of the AAC Ladies Bridge club members each week. After play, most players have enjoyed dinner at 6:30 PM in the Troon Grill, some joined by their spouses/significant others. The staff in the grill have been great to assist our group with reservations to accommodate our diners. Bridge lessons for beginners/refreshers start on September 14th in the evenings. The class is currently full and we have a waitlist. If you are interested, we are still taking names for the wait list in the event of cancelations. If there is enough interest we could explore another class the beginning of 2022. Please register online or call the AAC front desk. If you are interested in joining our bridge association please contact M.J. Olsen at mjolsen225@gmail.com or by phone #770-595-8197. We are always looking for new players. Registration applications are located in the Ladies Locker Room bulletin board.
