Club Times: November/December 2022
Holiday Greetings
From the House Chair
The holiday season is captivating in so many ways - the joy of being with family, the excitement of our children and the sights, sounds and smells that bring us all back to our childhood. This year, at the Atlanta Athletic Club, I pray you’ll get to experience many of those feelings while attending one of our many signature events during November and December. Chef Eric DaRin and his culinary team, in partnership with our Member Events department and team members, has an incredible lineup of activities for our membership to enjoy. Our Annual Oyster Roast on November 6th has become a signature event and will kickoff our end of year celebrations. Our wine dinner with Chappellet Wines on November 9th will certainly be a show stopper and then we find ourselves preparing for the Thanksgiving Buffet feast that annually sells out. And that’s just the beginning. December is full of memory making events, including the lighting of our Christmas tree, pictures with Santa and Gingerbread House decorating parties. Our bountiful lunch buffets and affinity group meals are always well received and attended. And surely you didn’t think I’d forget to mention my favorite annual tradition, the Atlanta Athletic Club Christmas Spectacular to be held on December 20th and 21st! This years theme will be “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and I simply can’t wait to enjoy the festive atmosphere, the joyful
interactions with friends and the smiles on the faces of our club kids as they enjoy all of the exciting games and events. I especially enjoy our photo booth to capture a picture my most precious gift, my family, so we can add yet another Christmas Spectacular photo to our home decor. Our team will work tirelessly to provide you a wonderful experience, so please say an extra thank you to them during this busy holiday season. I’m amazed at what our Senior Leadership Team does to prepare so many incredible opportunities for us to enjoy and I hope you’ll join me and my family in taking advantage of the magic of the holiday season at AAC. Lastly, I’m thankful for you and your families for making our experience at the Club so enjoyable. Dana and I love being at the Club and spending time with so many of you. There is so much to be thankful for this time of year, but I’m extremely blessed to call the Atlanta Athletic Club home. Cheers! Jason Huggins House Chair
