Opening Day Opening Day gave a nod to Barbie with all things pink! Our golfers sported celebratory apparel that would make the 64-year-old icon proud. Beautiful weather elevated the camaraderie, fantastic play and welcoming luncheon. Many thanks to our seasoned Opening Day Committee, Ada Clough, Kathy Weisburg, and Elizabeth Dickens, along with special touches by Kim Costello and Lee Kidney. They provided an inspiring ambience for our 2024 season start!

FUN FACT: The 9HWGA has grown dramatically from 119 members in 2019 to 172 members in 2024. Many thanks to the AAC’s Ladies Academy Director, Caitlin Cannon, who was rightfully awarded the PGA Player Development Award by the Georgia Section of the PGA. She has sparked fun and enthusiasm in introducing golf to countless women through Operation 36.

In Memoriam Mary Pless (1936-2023), our beloved first president (1989) and cherished member of our 9HWGA, passed away in December. Her warmth and dedication to volunteerism in the Atlanta community brightened the lives of all who knew her. We will forever treasure the memories we shared and the kindness she bestowed on everyone she encountered.
