Club Times: November/December 2023

s o c i a l / d i n i n g But What Do I Wear? Here is a quick guide to help you dress for success for the Holiday season! As a reminder proper attire is required for attendance. COUNTRY CLUB ATTIRE: This attire is for our everyday dress code. For ladies, tailored denim or slacks, blouses or sweaters, and sun- or sweater dresses depending on the season is considered appropriate. Ladies can also don tailored shorts that are an appropriate length. A general rule of thumb: if the shorts don’t reach or extend past your fingertips, you may want to save them for another venue. For gentlemen, collared shirts (button-downs or polos), sweaters, and chinos or tailored denim are perfect. All shirts must have a collar and be worn tucked in. Athletic and tennis attire for both men and women and open toed sandals for men are examples of inappropriate attire. Ladies can wear tennis shirts with a zip up jacket. SPECIAL EVENT ATTIRE: This dress code is for our more formal events such as Thanksgiving and Easter. Acceptable attire for gentlemen includes dress slacks and button-up collared shirts. Jackets are encouraged. Comparable attire is requested for ladies. COCKTAIL ATTIRE: Ladies, cocktail dresses are encouraged. Dressy separates are also appropriate. Gentlemen, darker suits are perfect. Jackets are required and ties are preferred. MERION ATTIRE: Acceptable attire is business casual. Men’s jackets are optional. Athletic attire is not permitted and men’s shorts are not allowed. CHILDREN UNDER 12: Children under 12 are allowed to dress casually but in good taste. GUESTS ATTIRE: Please remember to inform your guests of AAC’s dress code before coming to the Club. ALL EVENTS / ALL AGES / ALL GENDERS: Excessively tight, short or baggy clothing is not considered appropriate attire. All midsections must be covered. Gym clothes of any kind are not permitted.
