Pro Spotlight: Welcome, Bailey & Zach! We’re thrilled to welcome Bailey Showers and Zach Waldow to the AAC Racquets Team!
BAILEY SHOWERS Bailey brings a strong local tennis pedigree, having trained under Gery Groslimond and competed at the Division I level for Georgia State University. He later served as a graduate assistant for the team and has taught at Tennis Academy of the South, Sandy Springs Tennis Center, and most recently served as Director of Adult Programming at Windward Lake Club. Junior Program Highlights Coach Brad’s junior development programs are thriving! Participation has doubled since last spring and continues to trend upward. With a full coaching staff now in place, we’re excited to see even more growth in the coming months. YOUTH TENNIS CLINICS Our fun and energetic clinics are designed to guide young players through every stage of their tennis journey—from first swings to competitive matchplay. Please see complete junior offerings on the online calendar. Tiny Tennis (Ages 3–5) 30-minute sessions, 1–3x/week A playful introduction to tennis fundamentals. Focus on hand-eye coordination, basic contact, and pro/ sport familiarity. Fun, Fun, Fun! Red Ball (Ages 5–7) 60-minute sessions, 1–3x/week Building foundational skills with a bit more structure. Forehands, backhands, and intro to volleys In-house activities with 5–10 annual matches Orange Ball (Ages 7–9) 60-minute sessions, 1–3x/week For advancing players ready to rally and compete. Groundstrokes, spins, and court awareness In-house + ALTA/USTA teams & tournaments (10–30 matches/year)
ZACH WALDOW Zach hails from Loganville and was a top junior player at Ace Tennis Academy. A graduate of the University of North Georgia, Zach played four years of Division I tennis and has taught at multiple
Ace Tennis Academy locations, including the Fields Club. He also served as Director of Programming at Glen Abbey. We’re excited to have Zach’s energy and expertise on board! Green Ball (Ages 9–11) 90-minute sessions, 1–3x/week Sharpening technique and matchplay strategy. Ball control, fitness, and mental training ALTA/USTA teams, school play, UTR/WTN events (10–30 matches/year) Yellow Ball (Ages 11–14) 90-minute sessions, 1–3x/week Preparing for competitive team and tournament play. Power, placement, game style development ALTA/USTA teams, school play, UTR/WTN events (15–60 matches/year)
High School Prep (Ages 14+) 120-minute sessions, 1–3x/week
Advanced training for high school and college-bound players. Refined game style, advanced strategy, fitness and mental drills High school teams, USTA tournaments, UTR/WTN events (20–60 matches/year)
Holiday Facility Closure The tennis facility will be closed from December 24 through January 1 for deep cleaning and repainting. We’ll reopen on Friday, January 2 refreshed and ready for a great new year!
