Dear World Golf Hall of Fame Board of Directors, I would like to recommend that Alexa Stirling be considered for membership into the Hall. I can think of no better candidate than Ms. Stirling. She was an huge advocate for the game of golf. Her passion and talent was unmatched during her playing tenure in the early 1900’s. In an era before the majors, Stirling amassed a number of prestigious victories, including: the 1915, 1916 and 2019 Southern Amateur; the 1916, 1919 and 1920 U.S. Women’s Amateur; and thel 920 and 1934 Canadian Women’s Amateur. Her amateur record continues to be one of the most impressive to date, male or female, with the number of wins she accumulated during the short time frame. Alexa was a fierce comp-etitor; b-ut more imp-ressively, she was an advocate fr giving back and helping those in need. During World War I, Stirling, and her friends, including Bobby Jones and Perry Adair, hosted golf exhibitions and matches across the country. The “Dixie Whiz Kids” helped raise over $150,000 for the Red Cross, which is the current day equivalent of over $3 million. Alexa Stirling was an incredible ambassador both on and off the course. She helped pave the way for future generations of female golfers like me to win the U.S-. Junior Girls in 1994, the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 1995, the British Amatuer in 1996 and the U.S. Amateur in 1996. I believe that Alexa Stirling would be a welcome and worthy member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Warm Regards,
